Yep, one can never go wrong with giving agency to the player! However, for the sake of fairness, we should also keep in mind that too many choices might create an overly branching story, which could backfire on the dev.

If the choice is just for what the player can see during a sex scene that shouldn't affect the story. If you have played the game Lust Academy I think it handles this really well. The MC can top the futa/trans character, and then the player has the option to end the scene or let the futa/trans character top the MC. This does mean the dev has to render the scenes and animate them, if the game has animations, which means more work for the dev so that would be the downside of giving the players the choice.

The futa/trans character is optional, the player can choose if she has a dick or not. The male topping the Futa/trans is unavoidable. The futa/trans topping the male is optional. I haven't played the whole game yet so I don't know if this changes. I only came across 2 scenes with the futa/trans character so far, the futa/trans topping male is option in what I have seen so far.

The whole point of futa is that they have a dick, so if their dick isn't being used I don't see much of a point. All of the options here are fine to me except exclusively topping the futa, if I were going to exclusively top then I'd rather it be a regular woman or a femboy or something.
