Unity - Quickie: A Love Hotel Story [v0.36] [Oppai Games]

Persona but you actually get to see yourself fuck your teacher.

The minigame doesn't bog you down too much, and doesn't feel overly grindy in order to see all the scenes. If you like sim games, you'll likely enjoy it. But if you love Persona, you'll likely REALLY like it.

The whole game is amazing, the concept is pretty simple but the execution and art style makes this one of the best games i've played in a recent times. It can sure get a bit grindy, but it is worth the grind.

Amazing animations, easy to understand and proceed with. I look forward to how game proceeds.

Let me tell ya something. If you like Hotel Tycoon or games of that Genre, you're going to like this. This game could easily sell for $30 on Steam. Its a little grindy at times but its keeping my attention which says a lot.

This dev put a lot of time and effort into this game as you are a waiter, entertainer, hotel CEO, teacher and the list goes on. I don't know where the MC has time to date and the days go by pretty fast.

What I don't get is how you can own a $1 million hotel chain and still worry about money and have a tiny apartment.

This is simply banging. A bit grindy but it's good. Story is quite cliché for my taste but that is 'my taste', so take it as a grain of salt. However, the visuals make up for it. The game is fun and well animated, quite slow in the start but it gradually builds up to something good. Will look forward for more.

It is very strange that this game does not have at least Sharing, because the theme of the game implies it, all for the good of the business, some fastidious customers and so on, it would be interesting to develop the theme, but without it all is not bad, although it's a pity!
I recommend playing it, as it has interesting gameplay and even some plot.

Story/Character:
The story surrounds a university student in Japan who stumbles upon saving his family's hotel business into a love hotel! It’s a premise that’s been used alot in harem game but it’s main purpose serves as a great mini-game.

The whole vibe and feel of this game is definitely based on the the famous JRPG series persona. You play as a silent protagonist, but regardless a cool and composed main character. He’s not douchey, but still charismatic and easy to understand why he is lady’s man in the game.

Whilst, I’m intrigued by the main story however it’s not the main star of the game. The love story of the various characters are where all the juicy content and stories are. There are about 8 character stories, each of them with their own quirks and identity. All of them are heartfelt and tug at your heart & dick at the same time.

Content:
I just love the variety of the content the game offers. Whilst the game is not complete and still adding more content (according to the game developers, the game will finish at the end of 2024). As per the Persona series, this game just has so much cool and entertaining stuff in the game.

The story sex scenes are amazing, but the real creme of the crop is the hotel sex scenes. All of the characters have unique hotel sex scenes catered to their personality. For example, one of the characters Toshika is a gamer. So, some of her hotel sex scenes will involve scenes in a game room or anime-themed room.

Also to mention the unique hotel sex scenes are unlocked by earning and finding the blue prints of the room. The blue prints are found all over the game by simply buying them or unlocking them throughout the game. The hotels are full of personality and designed with love.

Some people are complaining about the length of the character stories, which I understand it does feel a bit too quick. But remember this game is called Quickie: A Love Hotel, so I assume it's just a reference to the title. Even still the character stories being a bit short, its a tell tale of quality over quantity. I would rather have this many short and amazing character stories, rather few long and mundane character stories.

Gameplay:
The main event star of this game is the gameplay. Once again inspired by the Persona series. It’s a mix of management and dating simulation in one game. It’s just such an extremely fun game. You are able to work at your hotels to increase your stars and earning to build even more hotels. You can work in various jobs to earn money and build your relationship with other guys. Or you can hangout with the girls. Or progress to the main story. There’s just so much gameplay, that it honestly feels like i’m playing a Persona game.

The grinding in the game is just perfect. Some people will complain about only having one action per day, but it just makes each action more meaningful and something that you need to consider. Grinding in the game, actually feels fun and rewarding. There is a great flow to the game when it comes to how the story progresses through the gameplay. As the the rewards, feel genuinely worth it.



Visuals:
Wow, what can I say. This is arguably the most polished UI I have ever seen in an adult game. Once again, inspired by the Persona series. If you gave this to somebody who doesn’t know the Persona series. You would think this game would be created by a AA or AAA game studio. It’s a great blend of 2D hand-drawn art and 3D models. The models look great in the free roam scenes and during conversations. Sex scenes even look better, there is just his sexiness in the sex scenes that’s just done so well. The sex animations are well done and are great touch to the sex scenes. Just the background of the game is mind-boggling and constructs the game to be so immersive in the culture of Japan.
Sound:
The sound design is just amazing as well. Ambient background music and music is general is on point, feels like a AAA game produced the music. Sound effects of the mobile phones and to buying a gachapon all feel so satisfying and life-like. The additional but minimal voice acting to each character adds more personality and temperament, just hearing the auditory reactions in the conversations feel more genuine and authentic.

This is the most polished adult game I think I have ever played. Just every single aspect of the game feels like super high quality and feels like it’s developed by an actual game studio.It is a love letter to the Persona series but added in the adult content and sexiness. I myself have completed two girls routes and have stopped so far because I want to play the game in its completed entirety at the the end of year. If you are a fan of Persona series, you WIILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME. If you are not, YOU WILL STILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME.

Since its in development still, its kinda unfair to give a complete review. But I really liked everything they got going so far.

+++ For a game of its kind the UI its quite impressing. Not perfect, I´m sure if you go looking for defects it has them, but overall I was surprised for the design in the game
+++ Good-looking game, not full "cliche" H-game style, but also not entirely western, a good and above all refreshing look.
+++ Very interesting game mechanics if only a little shallow. But then again its still in development and its a great framework to just expand what they already have in place
+++ For an early development game it run completely fine in my set up. The only bug I found was one regarding a sound from a cutscene stucking a couple of minutes after the scene, but it stopped alone.
+++ Altough I think the timing for the appearance of the "lewds" its kinda odd the quality its very nice. The scenes are lightly animated, and considerably varied. The hotel rooms take a very interesting role in them which I found super promising for the rest of the development. Another good selling point.

o Love interest: It has quite a few for the early development, found them likable so far. But I must say that the "speed" of the interactions or events related to the girls feel rushed and fast. Not the worst I´ve seen, it defenitively looks promising but it really depends on how they evolve them.
o Management gameplay: For one thing its a nice and like the rest of the game visually its very interesting. To have the couples assigned to each room have a couple of diferent animations when "occuping" the room definetively shows the attention to detail in the game and its above the standard quality for this type of game. That being said....it does feel only like a minigame. In this state is shallow, and except for a couple o very specific exceptions didnt feel like it was the relevant/principal part of the game that the title would lead you to belive it is.

Conclusion: A game that certainly feel in development, but in my personal opinion a very, VERY promising one. In this state (v0.34) it feels more like a dating sim with a light managment mini game on the side. But everything its done with high quality, the scenes are nice, has a considerable amount of content even in this version and the only neutral points I found could be easily enhanced during the rest of development. Looking forward to see more of the game!

A very good game, the history is not that deep, but who cares about that in a game like this, the management mechanics are very good. As a suggestion you should put a filter in the rooms construction list... The art is fantastic and the fetish list is very good. TY for your work.

Not just another copy/pasted VN, this is a well designed game with good stories, and the management gameplay gets pretty chalenging as well.

The 3D modelling could use some work, but the 2D animated cutscenes are well done.

A main character with a dick that more closely resembles a human's than a horse's ... women that don't piss themselves every time they orgasm ... natural sounding dialogue with women with diverse personalities and body types ... well written erotic scenes ...

Shockingly it feels like the writer of this game has actually had sex before, which makes this game truly stand out from the masses.

It basically feels like playing Persona with H-scenes, and a hotel management mini-game in place of RPG combat. Very fun and very well written. There's basically no "main storyline" to speak of, but each of the love interests have unique love routes that are well done.

Nice. That was my thought while playing the game.

It made me a little nervous reading it is very alpha after the download, and then there was a bugfree fluent playing, so i consider that message outdated or underestimated.

Animations i havent seen yet in a game here before although i havent played all of them - very realistic and detailed

Graphics are very professional

The hotel simulation looks good and motivated me for trying out the possibilities when i wasnt after flirting with the girls

Although it isnt my favourite style this game appealed and impressed me- it sure has feeling. A lot.

That was a weird start, game popping up with a warning that its an extreemly early alpha considering game is from 2018 so 5-6 years old?

Anyway, its a sandbox game with no real freedom, you might want to look at it as a collection of kinetic stories where your forced to follow quest lines that will lead to sexual relationships in one way or the other.
As for the main story and and the stories for the girls are bland and boring.

Take the first girl you meet, you can pick all the bad choices and you will still gain hearts with her, so even having a relationship system its just pointless since you cant say no to someone and bad choices means nothing, you should see it as a quest tracker to see how many quest you dont but thats all it usefull for.

Go to dinner with a teacher and she gives you a foot job no matter if you pick all the bad choices like "yes your a bad person" how that leads to a footjob i got no clue but theres just no stoping anything, so its just a mindless fuckfest game with no relationship build up, no freedom, no hot girls, no nothing.

I just dont like forced LIs i find it idiotic when your not given a choice to say no and just play the game instend and be with whoever you want.

So to play this you need to be into everything from young to old, from big to huge tits since thats the main fetish as well and personaly i am just not into everything so watching one turn-off after the other dosent make for a good game.

The mini game of building the hotel is ok, very simply with no real grind so that part is ok.

As for for girls i found them meh, none came even close to being hot but its down to personal taste, maybe its due to the big/huge tit fetish focus that i dont like them at all.

Animations are very good, a bit short but good none the less.

Music and voice isent good, mostly annoying.

I have played many games on f95zone. This is the first one I played and have never found anything better than this one.
This is the best porn game, period. Love the characters, love the writing, love the art. Great game.

This game has me feeling confused. As I write this, I'm feeling relatively conflicted. It's rare that I find a game like this, which has me feeling like I'm watching a battle between the people doing the dialogue/narrative and the people doing everything else.

I rated this a 3, but it's more like a 3.5. There are some seriously good ideas, and legitimately good art in this game, but it's all downplayed immensely by the terrible writing.

WRITING

As said prior, it's bad. In fact, it's so bad that the story would legitimately be better off without it. I know this game's in alpha, but when you have a narrative in your game, that quite literally is worse off than having no writing at all, that's how you know something's gone awry.

And that sort of bothers me, because the other parts of the game feel like they're made by someone far more competent. For example, the artwork:

The sex scenes are erotic and well done, the framing, the development from one scene to another, it all blends in well-.. and then

.. the writing spits on all of that effort, and makes you wish you could've just turned off the dialogue box.

I am confident, that you, the reader, would be able to come up with a more compelling narrative for whatever is happening in the game if you just removed the subtitles and ad-libbed your way through the game. It really is that rough.

ARTWORK AND VA

Other than some consistency issues (which are infrequent, this isn't really a genuine fault), the game just looks good. I'll tie up the UI and the artwork together because I do think a good UI is just as much art as the character images and scenes. And this game has ALL of those baked and caked very well. The UI feels good to move through, the artwork feels like it ties in with the game. I especially like the side-scroller map design, it felt novel and fit in perfectly with the game.

The voice acting..

..It's not very good. I'm not a big fan of the "say one random, somewhat vaguely related word to whatever is being shown on the screen" style in voiced dialogue. Either do the whole thing, or don't do it at all. It makes it feel half-assed and the game would likely be better off with proper, but infrequent fully voiced lines instead of random blotches of words in every single sentence. Perhaps by the end of a date there could be a final line that was fully voiced acted? I feel like it wouldn't be a difficult change to make, and it'd be one for the better. At least, that's what I think.

Furthermore, I don't believe the voice actors had great direction, as their "performances" (If you can really call singular words and grunts performances) leave you with a lot to be desired.

GAMEPLAY

If the writing is a 0, and the artwork is a steady 4.5, then the gameplay is somewhere around a 2.5-3.

It's okay. Fundamentally, it's there as a vehicle for you getting to the scenes to beat your meat to. It's nothing outstanding. There's quite a bit of effort put into a few of the minigames, but they get repetitive after the second or third run through.

Overall, the game is.. fine. I can't stress enough how poorly written the characters are, and how much that impacts the ENTIRETY of the game.

Please have your writer re-do the dialogue, or hire a new writer. It'd be a waste, because there's some actual heart in this game, deep inside. It's just being held back by poor decisions.

Typical overrated game that is plenty on this site. Not like its a bad game itself but it has lots of elements that are not the best or annoying. Why it has good reviews then? I dunno, seems like either its a first hentai game for some people or they didnt play better ones, or people just like slow visual novels with boring gameplay, annoying VA, just to see okeish sex scenes.

Ok but seriously, what i didnt like:

- VA is annoying, i hate when they do that when characters have 4 recorded short lines and they repeat them constantly like "eeekk!" every few lines of text. Either make game voiced or dont do at all

- it takes whole day to do just one action unless something changes later in the game, i really dont like this mechanic. You pick just one action and have to go through whole unskippable-slow "nextday" every time, oof

- characters talk a lot, i get it people like visual novels, but they talk kinda too much for me, or at least lines of text could be longer. When every event has like 100 short lines of text it makes you either read it all or feel pain when you try to skip it cus it takes forever, why not make dialogues longer with less dialogue lines to skip so its more fluid?

- gameplay itself is rather boring, work at ramen is just memorize what girls like, work at hotel is boring drag and clean room. It could be more interesting, again i dont expect much from H game, but it surely wasnt interesting for me

- H scenes are fun, i liked them, but also nothing impressive or worth time spend on the game, at least in my opinion

- game has slow ui/menu transitions that cannot be speed up, in long run its pain, but then again, if someone has nothing better to do and is hooked up maybe its not so bad

- not much real gameplay, its just visual novel with simple mechanics

very balanced beetween storie and management , great caracters, good scene with a nice animation. Can be played a few hours without being tired of it, really nice game. Hope it will continue do well developpe

This game is HEAVILY inspired by the STYLE of the Persona games series. If you like that, you are going to LOVE this game.

I am terrible with management, so I used cheats, but otherwise I can feel the management aspect to be a bit grindy. Once you get all the upgrades its pretty fun tho, even if you don't really need the money.

The cast of girls is plentiful and varied and for most of the girls you can unlock the sex scenes pretty fast and there are like 3-6 scenes depending on the girl.

What I really didn't like was the gift system, because there are like 100 different items and each girl only likes 5 specific items that you have to figure out based on their personalities and once you use one, you can't repeat it.

Thankfully, for most of the girls you can just grind the relationship by having sex once you progress enough.

The game is great and beautiful in spite of a few minor shortcomings. I only wish the sex scenes were a bit more elaborate and longer. For the most part its just one or sometimes two fixed angle animations from start to finish.

Anyways the art direction even tho its not 100% original, it is still on A WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL than most games you can find in this site.

Interesting game.
You meet women while managing love hotels.
To seduce the ladies you need to offer them appropriate gifts. To do this, you have to find clues.
It's challenging because each female character has different personnalities and tastes.
The hotels management mechanic is a bit repetitive but fun.
Playability is good, I didn't notice any bugs.
Graphics and animations are nice.
2D sex scenes are well done but a little too short in my opinion.
