I read in the status people were complaining the scene with Maggie came out of nowhere. Joshua writes pretty damn well and it didn't feel out of nowhere at all to me. There was tension building between the MC since the beginning. Sounds like people Just made assumptions about Maggie being a cliche formulaic VN girl next door type and got ass mad. This game is very unique well written rendered and put together

IIRC the complaints weren't that it came out of nowhere, but that it was sortof femdom with handcuffs etc. Personally, I understood where Maggie was coming from and how it ended up like that, but I remember that there was a lot of people that had a problem with the scene.

For me it felt like it came out of nowhere personally. But that was mostly because how the scene presented it's self I did expect sex soon with her just not like that. But that was never my main problem with the scene sure it was a small issue for me but not that big of a deal. What I didn't like is compared to the other lewd scenes Maggie's felt to porny for me it felt like something id see on pornhub and I personally didn't like that at all. Now this might be just me but I just dont like when lewd scenes feels porny unless it's a fuck fest game then it's whatever and not a big deal cause you know what to kind of expect from those type of games. But this however is a story first / relationship building game and it really felt out of place to me. Where the others lewd scenes felt romantic or heat of the moment or a quickie / on night stand.

Yeah fair enough. I'm not sure I see it that way myself, the game being soley story focused and porn second. It just seems after all like Milton said people thought Maggie doing some light femdom made no sense. Which same as Milton I also disagree with in this case. It made perfect sense narrative wise IMO

yup I dumped her ass as fast as possible. If she can't give the MC more than a week after the accident to try to deal with some stuff before trying to get into an exclusive relationship she can fuck right off and get out of my life is how I saw things. As to me it felt like she doesn't care all that much for how he is feeling or going through instead is being a bit selfish if she can't give him time after the accident with his daughter. Now if she waited i don't know like a 3 weeks - 4 weeks at least before seeing how he was doing and if he seemed like he was doing better then tried I wouldn't of had an issue with it. Instead she just went for it without getting a feeling how he was doing.
Now I may be a bit harsh but that is kind of how I saw things.
I did - literally as fast as possible. Not a bad looking girl and that ass of hers is fantastic, but holy heck she's just annoying as fk. When I got to the point where she says she's going to Canada or something along those lines I practically had a party.

I can't think of another character quite like Allison in any other game. That's part of the appeal to me, she's practically one of a kind. The looks just work perfectly for me, so that helps, and is the biggest part in her being one of my favourite LIs in all games (because I am basing that list on looks only at the moment, for ease). Others, like Maggie, are fantastic, but you can find her type of character (again in looks) in many games.
Yeah, I just don't think her story is really any good. It almost seems like you as the player get the yoga sex scene as a "reward" for not ditching her (as opposed to Jake getting the reward). For me, it's the ultimatums (or implied ultimatums) where she gets all stroppy if you spend time with someone else because she wants to monopolise your time instead. Basically, she wants a monogamous relationship straight off the bat, but I've just got here, I want to do some window shopping first (and then return to Allie regardless).
OK, so what's the deal with Kalani? Is there a story line with her? (I'd be interested).
I'm guessing that we need to be at certain levels with the women to get certain scenes?

At the moment, it's early stages with Kalani (the doctor), but the presumption is that there will be something coming later on. In terms of being at certain levels, it's all a case of the choices you make. All of them should be pretty straight forward though except for Allie's darker path. Allie's sex scene (which is on the darker path) is almost like a hidden one, the choices you need to make to get there are not obvious, and start earlier on, so it's relaly easy to miss. If you miss this path, the scene plays out minus the sex, and I think it's really well done, as you'd be none the wiser. I played the dark path just for the sex scene, but it was basically a hate fuck, so I felt bad about it and will only return to that save when there's another scene for me to see...

Funny thing for me is when I think of the looks and while I may think Jasmine is hotter than Allision. That is still really hard for me to say cause like you said her looks are kind of perfect. Jasmine on the other hand is more or less cause she knocks off some boxes I really like when it comes to looks , redhead , nipple piercing and a lower back tattoo. So realistically I keep changing my mind not just on who is my favorite but who I like the looks of more. I don't think I could honesty decide truthfully and just easier to say Jasmine is hotter cause like I said she checks off more boxes when it comes to what I like to see in appearance haha.

More like ppl felt the scene was a big kick in the balls, considering everything we saw about her in the story and how she was presented. There's also the lil fact that the scene can only be fully skipped, there's no romance or light maledom option, and who da fuck thinks a situation like that is a good opportunity to throw a lame ass femdom scene in there with a gorgeous character like Maggie that shouldn't even be in the mood for doing sexual stuff ??
No offense to Joshua, don't even know who the guy is, but he fucked up pretty bad. I would expect something like that to be reserved for Allison, Natalya, Veronica, or even our crazy, horny lil stalker Alexa, but for Maggie, of all women ?? C'mon man, that's nonsense.
Before any femdom fan says something, yes, there is planned femdom and maledom put in the planned tags in the spoiler under Dev Notes since the game's first release, if I'm not mistaken, but even so, all the femdom-ish stuff needs to be completely optional and avoidable and there should be a more romantic or maledom-ish alternative to the scene with Maggie for the players who ain't into that kinda stuff.
That's what the devs should've done, not throw Maggie under the buss like they did with a scene like that. I think this is why ppl were so upset about the vibe that scene gave off. We can agree to disagree on this, but assuming you right about it, everything, kinks, fetishes and characters, needs to be completely avoidable and only the player should choose what they like and want to happen and what not. Seeing as the only alternative to that scene was not to get a BJ at all, I'll probably have to go back and ignore Maggie, as much as I love her character and the fact that she's a gorgeous blonde, and do what I'd usually never do in porn games and IRL, which is go for the redhead.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to impose my preferences on anyone, but I wonder, did any of you Allison fans get to the part where Veronica has a monologue thinking how she always seems to be falling for the wrong guys who break her heart and end up dumping and/or cheating on her ?? Cuz I find it pretty funny how you can support and easily forgive a nagging, spiteful bitch like Allison, who always looks like she just got out of the shower and didn't have enough time to brush her damn hair or someone just dropped a bucket of cold water on her head to cool her off, but somehow seem to forget this important lil detail about V's character.
To be honest, I also find her obviously exaggerated clinginess ridiculous at times, especially when the MC's supposed to be focused 1000% on Lily's well-being and making sure he makes enough money to cover her treatment and his own bills, but I can't pretend I don't understand why V'd be clingy like that. She's prolly in her late 30's, working a shitty-paying job like the MC and he's an attractive, seemingly decent guy she gets along with pretty good and wants to have a serious relationship with. This isn't fictional shit, it's what usually happens IRL too in a case like theirs and why some guys like me say there can never be just a simple friendship between a man and a woman if at least one of them is good-looking, attracted to the other, they at least get along and one of them shows their interest in the other. Never.

Things sure don't add up, more so since, ironically, V was there for the MC through thick and thin, while darling Allison simply told him to go fuck himself for a change, since he's an already-established cheater, the guy who's the father of her daughter and whose invention has the potential to become something big or at least very profitable for him allowing Lily to live a better life too as a result of this.

Not sure if this is (in part at least) directed at my comments because of the quoting, but my response is that we're looking at it in very different ways. I am totally against cheating, but there are two things here - one, I separate life from game so there are plenty of things I would never even consider doing in real life (a good example is around cheating actually, as I've been really enjoying a game where a Couple get Adventurous as a means of spicing up their marriage. Second, I am playing this game as a "newcomer" to the situation. I've not been married to Allie or in a relationship with Veronica, and I'm playing the field to see who I like. At the start of the game, I'm not committed to V, she's just one of several girls I might have an intimate relationship with, but ultimately, it's still just casual (although she undoubtedly sees it a different way). I certainly don't bash V though, and especially not for anything related to cheating. I just don't like her as much as other LIs in the game.
With Allie, she doesn't treat MC nicely, and he deserves that (change of viewpoint there because it's what happened "before the game"). Me though, I'm trying to repair things. I'm trying to put the family back together and give Allie the relationship she deserves, and that she should have had the first time. As you suggest though, different opinions.
