Russian-Ukrainian war started, Covid pandemic finally got endemic, US retreats from Afghanistan, Olympics in Tokyo, Brittney recovers her freedom, Nasa Rover lands on Mars, Facebook rebranded as Meta, protesters storm the capitol, Castro family finally ended leading in Cuba, Kazakh unrest, ISIS leader dead.
Yeah, if I'm not spending all my time doing it. I'm not talking about every single person who's made a snide comment about the lack of a release. I look through this thread from time to time looking for updates, and I see the same regulars making the same comments. That's who I'm talking about and it's very weird. It's gone as far as someone keeping track of where the dev is and what he's doing on his free time. If that's not loser behavior, or unhealthily obsessive if you want to be nicer about it, I don't know what is. Especially if you're not even paying for it, someone else is, and you'll get it for free if it ever does finally come out. The entitlement is insane.
I predict one year will elapse with no update and this will still never get an abandoned tag.

It's probably pointless trying to explain that, there still will be posts about that on every page, but anyway
Game is marked as abandoned when:
-Dev confirms it is abandoned
-Dev is silent (No communication) for 3 months
-Game gets no updates for 18 months
When at least one of those happen, it'll get the tag.
You may disagree, think rules should be different, but thats how this tag works here.
There is no point in assuming bias, there is no conspiracy, dev is not in cahoots with F95 staff

About dev confirming abandoned, he won't ever do it as long the cash keeps comming in, since the same thing already happened with Polarity. And that game patreon continues to receive money btw.
Most people aren't mad due the lack of comunication only. Many are mad because this dev already did the exact same thing. Overpromised and didn't deliver.
That is why I keep saying this is what make people refraining for supporting financially a dev on patreon. It isn't leaked releases who do it, but actual comunication, dev comitment and no red flags of actual scam. Specially when he already did the same exact thing. And I won't say more because I don't want to derail the thread into personal insults, not my thing.

I think it's basically abandoned but the dev wants to keep selling wallpapers so they won't admit it.
Perseverance landed on Mars February 17, 2021; the Chinese rover Zhurong landed on May 14. The last update was July 24. Since then, NASA launched the Lucy probe to the Jupiter Trojans on October 16 and the DART impactor on November 24.

The devs have said a lot of things, none of it has happened so far.
I'll believe an update is coming when it happens, until then it's just more hot air.
If the update is not worth the one year gap, i smell problems
He also said in June 2020 that Polarity would have the biggest update ever. And he still receives around 400 EUR to this day for that "update". Yes, that patreon page is still alive for an abandoned project. Not even wallpapers there. At this point, with all the false promises his word values zero.
I'm just sad so many hardworking devs have potential supporters not investing early due this kind of thing. The amount of adult games which ended up being abandoned and even brush the idea of scam is increasing everyday. But patreon won't care unless the money keeps coming in or people finally decide to use other platforms.
And what would be something worthy at this point? Because I don't think that's possible anymore.
