It's a good game?
I get what you're saying but using BaD as an example doesn't work. DPC has the resources to have a dozen workstations running 24/7 if he wanted. Very few devs can match his render output. I'm sure there are better examples.Let's put things into perspective. The thread was created in April 2020 (almost 5 years ago) and in these 5 years, the 2 devs produced together 6 chapters of average length (I've seen games with shorter chapters, some with longer)
Being A DIK thread was created in February 2019 (6 years ago) and the dev alone produced 10 extremely long chapters with an 11th nearing completion.
All 3 devs mentionned here are supposedly developing their games full time
I am only giving facts. Make of them what you want.
As far as I can tell the limiting factor with this games chapters hasn’t been the render output but rather SirD’s procrastination.I get what you're saying but using BaD as an example doesn't work. No, and it was abandoned years ago. It's a good game?
True. The person I replied to was talking about the length of chapters in a certain time frame though. My point about very few being able to match DPC stands. I'm not gonna defend SirD I just think there are better comparisons. As far as I can tell the limiting factor with this games chapters hasn’t been the render output but rather SirD’s procrastination.
Don't know how many workstations Alorth and his artists have.True. The person I replied to was talking about the length of chapters in a certain time frame though. My point about very few being able to match DPC stands. I'm not gonna defend SirD I just think there are better comparisons.
just like 59% of all good games its abandonedIt's a good game?
Try it and you shall seeIt's a good game?
Nope, I was not only refering to render count, also the number of releases. You focused on render count on your own. Also how do you think DPC got to where he is now, with his supercalculators? He releases updates consistently since Acting Lessons, kept his patrons updated on what he's been doing without spoiling the content of his update (which, when I was subscribed, was one of the BS reason sir jammed mentionned as why he could not post regular devlogs).True. Chapter length = render count. Like I said, not gonna defend this dev and I don't care to have a lame ass argument either. My point was no one can match DPC.Nope, I was not only refering to render count, also the number of releases. You focused on render count on your own. Had he had a real work ethics, I believe he would be on par with DPC on the number of supporters
keep dreamingAny recent news, and by recent i mean this week, about the release date? I really don´t want to wait for summer for a update release.
''august 2024, really'' -- before augustAny recent news, and by recent i mean this week, about the release date?
'at the end of the month'' early december 2028''august 2024, really'' -- before august
''almost done, just a couple of weeks, promise'' -- end of august
''at the end of the month'' early december
''in a few days'' -- end of january
''in a few days to the testers'' -- at the end of last week
''joking aside, really am almost done'' -- today
Just make a guess yourself, the dev doesn't know any better either.
Nah DPC always had really good output. Even before all of the money. He used to drop a update like every 3-5 months with like a hour of content or more. DPC is just a machine. Doesnt seem to suffer from burn out, writers block or boredom that bad like the rest of his peers.I get what you're saying but using BaD as an example doesn't work.
