I swear when I played the untranslated version the wiki had maps of each level. Am I going crazy or are they missing now? If they're actually gone I have ones I created I can upload here, they just need a little polishing.
it says can't save/access that file. you can run as admin or move game folder.

Thanks for your suggestion, but when I tried to move the game folder to my main drive, a new problem showed up.
File not found error.
You musnt use root folder ("c:\rance3") instead use something like "c:\games\rance3" OR run as an admin.
Has anyone ever managed to make these games work with a controller? There's a UseJoypad setting in the AliceStart ini file, but changing that to true doesn't seem to change anything for me. Its mostly just to play in on the SteamDeck, controller would be much more convenient than scrolling.

can you do a quick youtube video to show me how can you do this ? i try all your v1 and v1.1 character number in CE but nothing show up the true value in the character pointer
i just added v1.1 search values. you need to look at this post for how to use.
in short download ct file file from there, open ct file and attact to rance03, do a new scan. copy adress to "Chara Base Pointer" adress section. if adress is correct you should see character values. if all are random values, just try another adress.
Be warned though: Search values don't change but adress' are changing everytime.

yeah i know what you mean but the only thing i dont understand here is when i do first scan with your character value let's say rance it's show up some value but when i try to copy and paste each of them in the chara pointer none of them is right. am i missing some thing ?
If all are random values, just try another result (adress). as you can see there are 2 different adress' in the picture. only one of them is the correct one.
Can i play this game without playing 01 or 02? I tried 01 and the non-voice acting is really killing me.

You can, but will miss some context. Rance 03 is the only game in series has voice acting so if you want to play other games in series, you have to bare with it.
about a year ago i played the other rance during my vacation cant wait to play this one this year
