i've got the same. launched several other Ren'Py games - everything works there. I just don't understand why the search in the topic about "sound" doesn't find anything
Maybe we're the only ones that care about the lack of sound.
Or maybe the rest of this thread is just a bunch of mindless AI bots replying to each other.

After getting the first Frost card opening the journal crashes
I can send the full error message if needed, but the error seems pretty clear. I did have all the cards one can have prior to the new patch.

so, learning new cards from the professor Naomi bugs out the game on a fresh start - the error is that the grid doesn't allow for more cards
Thanks for the info! Apparently, I use earth cards to calculate a grid for frost, which was not a problem cause I've beaten Mia I in my test runs.
Anyway, here's a bugfix, just drop contents into the game folder. I'll fix links later when I have some time

Where exactly is the fight club? The only thing left on the quest tracker is "Main Quest: I can progress in fight club to upgrade my stuff or wait for the next update." I cannot find this fight club though, and I think that I have clicked on every option in every location at every time of day.

I seem to be missing something. How does someone get enough attack point with 3 or 4 cards to score 40 points a turn much less 200 or 250 to defeat Mia.

You may do just like I do and skip everything and just enjoy the card battles.
Also, if you want it, you may ignore the text and think that the images are portraying something that you actually like. I heard that many vanilla fans do it, even "reading" h-manga only in languages they don't understand and creating a story in their own mind with the images in it. Sadly, no woman in this game is to my taste; the dev clearly has a taste that is not my "tall, skinny and flat chested" one, lol.
What am I doing here? Like I said, card battles. Seriously, my "addiction" to card games over the past few months has been taking me to very weird places.
