Hello, I'm having trouble getting this running on windows 7/XP VMs. is there a patch or known solution for this just yet?
got this game running smoothly on win10 pro 22h2 just with weird texts in game dialogue. the solution for me is very simple and direct but im not sure if it works the same for others. this fix works for the japanese version too if youre curious. here is a step by step of what i did to run the game.
1. download ISO
2. mount ISO and install the game using setup.exe
3. download dgVoodoo2 from github then extract it
4. at the dgVoodoo2 folder that is just extracted, go to \dgVoodoo2_86_2\MS\x86 then copy everything inside and paste them into where you just installed the game. heres a screenshot of where i placed it, basically just at the same place where you would find the .exe for the game.
5. enjoy!
!!! IMPORTANT !!!
this game DOESNT RUN AT ALL IF YOU HAVE MULTI MONITOR SETUP.
so if you have multiple monitors, just turn off the others or in windows projection settings, choose either PC screen only or Second screen only (you can quickly change this setting by hitting win+p)
and since the game will RUN IN NATIVE ASPECT RATIO OF YOUR MONITOR, you might wanna change ur aspect ratio to 4:3 to make it look better (16:9 will make it look stretched)
for the frames, i cant be sure how many fps its running but it looks smooth for me so all g i guess (im assuming its running on the native refresh rate of your monitor, please do correct me if im wrong)
some notes:
using this method does however will make the game have a watermark of dgvoodoo on the bottom right. changing the setting in dgvoodoo by unticking the show watermark option doesnt do anything for me so just live with it i guess.
also i always run the game with the ISO mounted just in case (cuz the japanese version wont run at all if ISO isnt mounted). but u can try running it without ISO mounted for EN ver
i havent tried out botuplay much so nothing much i can say about it. might do an update if i do eventually tinker with it later on
also seen some people saying that they managed to get it running on winlator in android. but since they havent post anything about how they setup the environment and everything so its kinda hard to figure out what actually works and what doesnt. for me nothing seems to work yet, might also post update if i do eventually figure it out
MODS:
if you wanna run mods for the game, just get the RL Harem 2 and RL_mods from this thread (sorry cant provide links cuz 1st time posting). after extracting both folders, copy everything in RL_mods into \RL Harem 2\Mods. when running RL Harem 2 always remember to run it as admin, then when it launches just go to the option tab and click on the Change Game Directory to let the launcher knows where you've installed the game if it tells you they cant find it, then click on Change Game EXE to select the .exe u wanna run the mods in (Rapelay English.exe). after that on the Mods tab you can see all the mods you can install to the game, its very straightforward just click on Install Mod after selecting the mod then it will start installing it. or you can click Queue Mod if you wanna install bunch of mods at once. do note that the mod installation can take quite some time so just be patience.

Just got to the first rape scene. How do I get the guy to appear? It says that press 4 makes the man appear but nothing happens. Unless the game is supposed to be like that and the girl is getting fucked by a ghost. Help!

Fixed my crash and performance issues on Windows 11 by adding the DXVK and turning on Windows 7 compatibility on the .exe file.
I was wondering if someone could post the Hi res enabler mod. I have all these High res mods in the pack but I cant find the Rar for the enabler anywhere:<. Can someone help me :>
Does anybody know how to remove mods? Ive tried uninstalling but Rl Harem keeps them saved:< Now I cant even open RL bc its got too many mods :<

I can't download some of the files it says they're corrupted and when I ignore them the game is super corrupted all animations broken

I think the problem was that I was using the the Japanese iso instead of the english translated one to install my mods
