i simply throw games into a sandbox, by default. that's that.
oh and, my AV does provide this little tool right on the erm, 'Explorer context menu' aka right click.
it should be every decent AV offer this, but idk mang..
well i'm kinda guy who wants have a say in decisions, so i've chosen an AV that delivers a 'paranoid' setting which will lead to it asking me
each single time about everything, including windoze own files if i want, and i can decide to have it do this only once, or remember my decisions over each single action for each single executable file. that's for if i ever run a thing outside the box.
if something goes awfully wrong with a game or whatever else in that box, it's two clicks away 'kill box' and the whole box is gone, including saves (sadly) and whatever was malicuous.
-oh and, what runs in the box, stays in the box. can't access the real OS, or file system, or network.
that's why i never ask for saves btw.. files from outside aren't touched when i put them into the box. log 'modified content blocked' well it's more fun to play the game than to just cry for complete saves.
about Ravager wanting to launch steam,
anne O'nymous confirmed that's not even a true DRM, see
>this post< for details. if you follow those steps, you don't have to download a remover, but it requires work, probably with each game update.
