Never found a reason why they decided to have 2 clashing artstyles in the game.
Unfortunately you are alone with this opinion or else there would have been maybe changes early in development.
For most of the folks however it's apparently not a big deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, act V. I remember it used to be only available on Steam, but is it now playable in here as well if downloaded, like if yes.

Today I see a new patch for a game I haven't played in over a year but have kept up with the patch notes today was like any other...until I kept scrolling...and scrolling...and scrolling...ok so they did a LOT since the last patch...

Yeah that would be golden. Love the game but the cgs art can be a bit inconsistent/disproportional at times.
Erm.. the update is kind of underwhelming for such a long pause....
Even before the complete pause we were getting only a few voice-overs and bug fixes so i was under the impression this update was going to be huge but there's not really that much there. Each character gets a few minutes of text and there something like new 4-5cg? Nothing else changed. There wasn't any complex minigame added or a new way of playing the game so i'm not sure why they didn't just add this with regular updates.

There are too many split routes. Every little decision before changed things and they wanted to add something for everyone, so for those who didn't kill anyone or have Malice it resulted in little gameplay content.
AS OF v5.2.0:
The game scans for
.bat files and steam_appid.txt in its base directory (where Ravager.exe etc are), and quits during intialization if it finds any as an anti-piracy measure.For now, the easiest fix would be to use the
.bat method but rename the file to .cmd, or launch a command prompt in said base directory (Ctrl+Shift+Right Click -> "Open PowerShell window here" in Windows Explorer) and manually run the command:

I have a copy of the old exe before the drm was added in. It works with the new version with no problem.
