even using koikatsu would be an improvement tho, its not like there arent methods even for the artistically impaired

Koikatsu is awful. You have far less control and the models and lighting are terrible.

i agree koikatsu is pretty bad but better than this currently is, also Im not too fond of that artstyle for your other game so. For my 2 bits that isnt "better" frankly Id suggest honey select 2 and a shitton of the popular mods as the compromise but my point was that there is stuff easily obtained thats better than this, that would probably work out cheaper than relying on art commissions. It wont be SUPERZOMGFABOO but it wont look like this either

Well, clearly there's only one thing for you to do:
Download a copy of Ren'py, and whatever flavor of graphical tools you think are best for the job, and spend the next 3 years making your own VN and showing me how it's done.
Koikatsu is utter shit. Pretty much anything other than Daz and HS 99.99999% of the time is terrible. As is any cartoon graphics.

Kind of like comparing getting punched or kicked in the balls.
The creator out here fighting for their life on art they made for a porn game they've been working on for like 4 years every update is always a highlight. The art is fine and at least it isnt AI slop. The writing is very good and the new game is good. I recommend grass touching for everyone involved. See you all for the same discussion next update!

You are coming in and telling me something I am already well aware of, and explaining it as if it's the first time I've heard this. At this point it's just annoying. You're also offering nothing constructive whatsoever, because your "solutions" are utterly unrealistic.
By the way I have people who are actually supporting me on itch.io and SubscribeStar, as in they have actually given me money for my content when they did not have to. That says a lot more to me than your criticisms do.

This is going to be my last post about the graphics, because frankly I am sick of people bitching as if my free visual novel somehow ripped them off. Anybody else who comes in to bitch about the art style will either be referred to this post or just ignored.
It's easy to be the AVGN, until you try making a game. (James Rolfe even acknowledged this)
When you make a visual novel, when you commit to seeing it through to completion, you pick an art style, and then you are married to that art style for the duration of the visual novel.
And divorcing from that art style is an ugly process.
I should know. I literally already did that once. It took far longer than I anticipated, and doing it again would take even longer now.
There is no solution you can offer for improving Re Education's art at this point, because it will mean going back in and replacing all the art assets. Even if your solution is a magical A.I. that can look at all my art and generate beautiful 4K replacement art at the push of a button... I'm still the one who would have to put all that art into the game, then playtest all the paths to make sure everything displayed correctly.
When I started making Re Education, I knew next to nothing about 3D modelling. However, Re Education has. literally, been Re Educating me about making 3D art.

No. This is deliberate.
One of the things Re Education explores is chemistry. The natural attraction that two humans have for one another. Zach is attracted to the persona that Rachel created. The actual Rachel is far different than the character she portrays on screen.
Rachel sees Zach as almost a replacement for her deceased brother. She flat out states that she has no attraction towards him.
The only way anything romantic will happen with Rachel, is through use of the Re Education helmet.

If you phrase it like that,
could there maybe be a route in the future where Rachel uses the Re-education program against Zach, deliberately or accidentally, to make a fake copy of her own dead brother, to make up for him and to better cope in a twisted, fucked-up way? This was just a random thought that popped into my head while reading your message.
But if it's stupid or makes narratively no sense, you can just ignore my message.
But either way, thanks for answering, and keep up the awesome work!

While I'd probably enjoy the story, these animations are just so fucking fugly I'm not gonna bother. What the hell are those even supposed to be? It's like watching a puppet show with the cheapest Barbara dolls around.
