Thanks for the reply & the offer - greatly appreciated - by "key" I mean exactly that - what icons do what and/or represent a measure of what - however I was probably a bit hasty (my bad) - another couple of hours of experimentation complete & I think I've got pretty much all of them understood now - but, as I say, thanks for the reply & the offer

Ah.... now that suddenly clicked and made sense omg. Playing this game without fishing the key back then totally misses out on all of that connections...
PSA:
for anyone wanting to change the resolution, you need to create a shortcut, then append
change 1600 and 900 to whatever resolution you want

This game is fucking excellent! Even just the little bit I've played I can tell I'm going to love the rest of it.
All skills unlocked – all memory slots filled – all album slots filled –keycode card retrieved from fishing pond & used to access locked files on PC – but 3 files (diary #4, miu’s diary #3 and the note from miu’s friend) remain greyed out & can’t be read at the mo – anybody know what it is that I’ve missed?

I'm not sure how exacty works, but maybe it has to do with dialogues? Do you talk to Miu? Many of her talks changes if selected again. Even the event-like scenes, like her cooking with her bare ass at the air, the dialogue changes, I think it has like 5 variations or so. I made sure to talk a lot to her and also I fished a lot, almost wishing there were an achievement for catching all types of fishes possible, which I think I did? probably.
On a certain day, a new blip on the map will appear. Just check it everyday to progress the story. Also, the sticky note on the pc will hint it to you.
