The last several games he's made have had vanilla/romance routes. It's just that his art/kinks don't really suit vanilla in general so they come off with a weird conflicted vibe imo.
IIRC the demon game was basically just romance only and the fox eared game had a vanilla romance route and an ntr route. This one also has both. Maybe 3? Vanilla, nts which will turn into ntr if you pursue it too much.
Per usual, the game is rather short and kinda shallow. Great art though and some nice ideas even if the execution was kinda meh. Dunno, how I'd rank it honestly. Better than the demon game by far though I'm a bit biased against "vanilla" romance in porn lol.

Well, imo the Elf Wife NTR game is among their best games and they are at their best when they do NTR as well. We had that Game about the Demon Wives that was pure romance and it was pretty boring ngl.
At least with the game about the fox girls you had the choice.
I feel like they should commit to one theme in their games.

What do you mean? It's basically netorase turning into netorare, a very different "flavor" of NTR and something less common than usual netorare. That's the entire point.
