Either I gaslit myself into thinking I tried or I misremembered from another game, but I was sure you couldn't (Or maybe I tried to cancel it too late and it didn't work so I assumed you couldn't at all, since you can't dash cancel once you leave the ground [this time I just went to actually test it before saying some bullshit lmao])As I said in my response to asero (understandable if you didn't read), you can cancel the combo at any point by dashing out of it. This is a very common mechanic in action games and platformers, or just any fast-paced game that gives you control over one specific character in general. If you accidentally overcommit, you can just dash to cancel it early. it's becoming clear to me that a lot of people here take the game mechanics at face value and don't really experiment as much as I would have thought...
Edit: To be clear, that's not necessarily a bad thing, it just feels weird effectively being the sole QA tester, or one of few.
Yes, I just put in the one you linked in your previous post under the "Extras" section. If you have any other helpful videos/images/etc, feel free to let me know and I'll see where I can slot them into the main post.Have you added the boss fight videos yet?
I did link to them in an earlier post.
That's a pretty speedy run! I wonder if I should make a leaderboard for speedrunning the boss or something like that on the main post?Good luck! My fastest record was 1 min
looking forward to the release, is there an ETA or something? how old is this demo
There's currently no ETA for when the game will be completed. The dev is working through the game at their own pace and I think that's honestly the most we can ask of them. As for how old this demo is, they released this new build at the end of September 2025. It took quite a while for this build to come out, though, so I'd advise you not to get your hopes up for a newer build to be released anytime soon.does anyone know when the next update will come
Yes, use Lutris or Heroic Games Launcher to be easy to config and playis this playable on linux?
The first part makes sense honestly, though the reason it's built like that seems to be consistent with something else you can't dash out of: the takedown leap. They're high-priority moves that require a lot of commitment, so an easy incentive to ensure you don't throw this out constantly like an idiot is making sure you can't cancel them, essentially telling you "DON'T DO THESE UNLESS YOU'RE SURE ABOUT IT". Of course, with that in mind, with how buffering works, there's a lot more forgiveness on the third combo hit and allowing you to cancel it than there is on the takedown, as accidentally pressing that button is much less common than over-mashing the attack button.Either I gaslit myself into thinking I tried or I misremembered from another game, but I was sure you couldn't (Or maybe I tried to cancel it too late and it didn't work so I assumed you couldn't at all, since you can't dash cancel once you leave the ground [this time I just went to actually test it before saying some bullshit lmao])
I will say, I have thought about grabbing his counter stance a hundred times before ever thinking about grabbing the startup of his spinning move, it makes so much sense, grab always beats block
E X A C T L Y .i don't really understand the struggle with the final boss , his attacks are super telegraphed and your dash is instant
Personally, I struggled a while and took like 15 tries or so but thats not bc he was really hard, I just kept getting impatient and too greedy with my hits which led to my losing my hp in a stupid wayE X A C T L Y .
I know not everyone is at the same skill level for video games, but I swear, there's no way that I'm just so good not to notice the high bar for entry...
Two minutes is a little less than average for a boss fight, and you can stop the spin entirely the same way you break the shields of the blue shirt bandits. But yeah, you're entirely right--the easiest way to win is to get a handle on your greed. Easier said than done sometimes, but muscle memory can be...unlearned.Personally, I struggled a while and took like 15 tries or so but thats not bc he was really hard, I just kept getting impatient and too greedy with my hits which led to my losing my hp in a stupid way
The general tactic is to just hit him 2 times and dash away immediatley as he will either counter you close range or do his chop attack. Second phase with the barrel is practically the same thing, dont get greedy when he starts spinning. Outside of his spin, same 2 hit run tactic. it just took like a good 2 minutes to kill that fucker
i actually tried multiple ways to interrupt the dude during his spin wind up but I just couldnt do it.Two minutes is a little less than average for a boss fight, and you can stop the spin entirely the same way you break the shields of the blue shirt bandits. ...Brother. The health bar isn't that big in the first place, and it's not meant to take you 30 seconds. I'm going to assume this is ragebait with how ridiculous that is, but you've gotta try harder in the future if that's the case. And if it isn't, I can recommend you a slew of games that are the exact same and have been pretty well-renowned.nah that final boss needs his hp lowered, i hit him and barely see his hp move. bad.
You have to specifically do a takedown (you'll see a little blue spark on startup if you did it right), though it is still a little buggy depending on how far you are. It's better than it was in 0.0.7 I think, but it definitely needs some tweaks.i actually tried multiple ways to interrupt the dude during his spin wind up but I just couldnt do it.
I saw the fragile shield on the wind up and tried using the fire spell, hitting all 3 bullets, tried hitting the 3m1 combo and also tried using R, none of that worked and I got my ass beat![]()
Progression-wise? No. But the levels have been entirely reworked, and the gameplay seems a bit cleaner. Is this any different than the version of the game which has been floating around untranslated, that stops after the boss who has the sex-grab where he mating-presses her?
If you'll notice, even during the command grab, all the scenes say Essence+ when they finish. You need Essence (the yellow bar) to do Ninjitsus. (The Helldivers-adjacent inputs, like the one that literally is just a shortened Konami Code.) If you don't have enough essence to do a Ninjitsu, you can initiate a sex scene to gain a bit of Essence back. If you mash J during the scene, it'll speed it up, granting you more essence at the end depending on how much you mashed. The sex scenes in this game just seem to be there purely to be there. Does fucking some dude after knocking him out actually do anything for the player mechanically?
Make sure to pay attention to the top left corner when you watch this video. Note that I was mashing J as soon as the prompt appeared. You don't have to do that, seeing as it was already at max speed for pretty much the entire duration just from a bit of mashing, but I do it that much for good measure.I have noticed Essence+, yes... I have also at no point seen Essence+ accompanied by that bar gaining much of anything really. What, do you need to do like five scenes to get enough for a cast back? At least doing one or two just didn't make the bar increase.
Though given the visual glitches in the text being all crossed out and half-formed sometimes, maybe that's a UI bug.
