    Weird game

Not hard in the slightest, and there is no need to grind. People are just too ignorant to use hidden equipment, upgrade weapons and use items. Beatable under two hours.

    The story
is difficult to understand. It's like you're thrown into a story where everything that could happen has already happened, and you're given a few flashbacks, which doesn't make things any better. I don't understand what's going on and I think this is the intended result by the developer. You need to play more games to understand what is happening, isn't it?

    The horny part
    is weird too.
Rape + bestiality + underaged girl =

3 dirty pedos out of 5

Sounds weird to warn you this here but if you are horny or want a porn game don't play this. neither if you only apreaciate polish or sterilized animation & drawing.

Is a game story driven with a early 2000s tragic aesthetic; simple, very enjoyable and curiously portraits matters and effects of real abuse with a realistic sensibility that you wouldn't expect from a self labeled pornographic game or a male.
for the enjoyment the story caused me i give it my appreciation of 5 biased stars(objectivity is a le live a little) so it reaches more hearts but be aware of the flaws.

The weak point is the gameplay, is traditional rpg turn base & level up mechanics with the nice E. m.m.m twist of intelligence but degraded contrary to other titles of the author, the necessity for grinding is present to a uncomfortable level here.

Is you decide to play it has to be for the story otherwise you will get not joy of it, i recommend using saveeditonline or similar to edit stats and not lose time in the grinding

This game works as a prequel and side story to Black souls, however is my understanding this was an early project of E.m.m.m and as such it has merit to have your first game be with this little mistakes, i will follow this dev future creative creations enthusiastically

It needs more scenes and the ones that are already there are not the best, but they are acceptable despite the bestiality scenes.
The gameplay is typical of RPG Maker.
The story is quite weak, I don't understand the need to kill such mythological beasts and I don't really understand the ending either.

Honestly this game was my introduction to EMMM's work and I didn't mind the gritty art, actually kind of charming, I can't really describe but it's endearing in a way. Game got way too easy way too fast with all the stat boost items that dropped from the word "go" but I didn't mind blazing through just to see what was around the corner in the next areas. For a first project I think it did well enough to allow a passing grade. For anyone actually on the fence give it a fair try and I think you might actually be pleasantly surprised. If you want to know a bit more about the Black Souls origin of Red Riding Hood then this'll help fill in a bit more.

Having just finished Black Souls, I can say with certainty that this game is very bare in comparison. Which is fine, given the improvements made from this to Black Souls. The combat—that is, standard rpgmaker turn-based combat—is not much different, though it is very frustrating when you encounter enemies in the final areas that can stunlock you if you've not sufficiently increased your speed stat. The erotic content is also not much different from Black Souls, but it is more sparse. It should be noted that there are far fewer scenes of characters experiencing sexual pleasure, so I imagine that will more severely impact enjoyment than the smaller number of scenes. The story is coherent, and gives an understanding of Red Hood's character that was not provided in Black Souls. If it were me, I would have tried to retroactively incorporate this game as DLC for Black Souls, or redo it entirely to meet a higher bar of quality. In conclusion, this game performs exactly as advertised, and is necessary reading for someone who wants to fully experience the Black Souls series. If you don't care enough about the series to spend the 1-2 hours this game may take you, don't play it. Go work out or something.

It has very similar vibe as Blacksouls and Blacksouls 2, and gives you good insight into background of Red Riding Hood in this games. If i could grade it only for climate, it would be 4,5 / 5.

But as a game, it is mostly frustrating. First location is foggy forest. It looks nice, except... you can't see shit, similar to Elixir Town from BS1 but WORSE. There are many difficulty spikes and even without them normal enemies are tough. This game requires a lot of grind. I've cheated my way through. Most of fights are not very pleasant, but i recall from my first playthrough i've enjoyed first two bosses.

Exploration is still nice. All locations are beautiful and some of them returns in BlackSouls 2 - visiting them after BS2 was weird yet very nice experience. I also like the little things: Andor Sword from BS1, labeled "sword from ruined kingdom" is actually reference to Red Riding Hood. One of locations you visit here is Andor Kingdom :)

I'm glad i've played this game, i never want to come back to it again.

This game is very short (2.5 hours for me) and not hard if you have experience with Eeny's other games. It's feels amateurish in writing (comes off as edgy) and in difficulty (it jumps up and down). The game is fairly linear and the variation of weapons/enemies are few. I appreciate the art's aesthetic as it adds to the mood of his games, but the drawings do seem to be lacking in quality. Though, I see this as a testament to how far his particular style has come. Also on that note, a good number of scenes are delegated to the dreaded "You must lose to see them" system (you do get to see them all once you beat the game though).

If you're looking for 'deep lore' for Black Souls, you're not missing out on much. I will say this was a good starting point in terms of game development, but the game alone in my opinion doesn't hold up well and there's good reason this wasn't nearly as impactful as its successors.

The only thing I can say about it is ,,unique". Not really worth playing on it's own but it can serve as a refresher between Black Souls 1 and 2.

The dialogues in this game show just how well planned whole series is.

Tragic, but not bad story. I was a bit satisfied playing this game. Though you should cheat or endlessly farm to play through this game. Unfortunately very short and there is almost no porn in it, just a few "death" scenes

Red Riding Woods is a prequel to the adult-oriented RPG BLACKSOULS and tells the backstory of one of its main heroines, Red Riding Hood as the name implies.
The game maintains the dark atmosphere of its predecessor with lots of grotesque enemies and fair number of H-scenes sprinkled in, usually upon loss but some are optional or part of the story. Those are mostly hit or miss and all involve Red Hood in some capacity usually getting raped, sometimes not.
Even without the H-scenes however, the story is still very good and involves Red Hood going through various areas and slowly unlocking memories of her past. It is very much focused on Red's own character so hopefully you liked her at least a little in the first game otherwise you may not find this very enjoyable.
Gameplay wise I'd say the game is fairly balanced since I only had to grind for some 2 levels throughout my playthrough although you may need to figure out what works against which enemy if you want to progress. Some of the enemies will also stun lock you if you don't take precautions but I'd still say the gameplay was enjoyable.
Overall this was a great game although it's certainly not for people who may get offended by the darker themes or things like rape and bestiality but if you played through BLACKSOULS you should be fine. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who liked Red Riding Hood since it's pretty much a must if you want to learn more about her backstory.

Play the masterpiece that is BLACKSOULS1 before this and treat this like a side story to it.

On it's own, it doesn't really have much going for it. It's the first work of an indie creator trying to test the waters and it shows.

The game takes around 2h to complete, the art is stylistic suck, the combat requires a bit of thought but isn't massively in-depth, and the story is short (it doesn't really appear until halfway into the game).

On the H side, there are 14 H-scenes of one image each, and 2/3 are GORs that finish in less than 15 seconds.
