I think it used to happen basically all the time but Microsoft recently started making it more obvious to end users, so you're seeing more of what used to go under the hood.I genuinely loved this game the story, the art, the whole concept. I only found it because I spotted it in someone’s signature banner, and I’m really glad I checked it out.
That said, there’s one thing that’s been bothering me for a while, and I’ve seen a couple others mention it too, though it never got a clear answer:
Why does the game attempt to access GPS data on launch?
The moment I saw that, I blocked the request and ran the game inside a sandboxed VM with no network access. The gameplay and experience were great, but the unexplained GPS call is hard to ignore, especially since I’m clearly not the only one who noticed it.
I’m asking this sincerely, not accusing , but hoping for a transparent explanation, because the game itself is fantastic and deserves trust from its players.

Basically, apps weren't even asking permissions, now they're forced to.
