They are separately tracked yes, but work together, love determines if she wants to stay with you and respect determines how she feels about cheating. High love/High respect = you can ask her to start swinging, low love/respect = she just cheats on you (NTR). I think there were also Low love high respect and high love low respect routes talked about earlier in the thread. I assume the third stat just controls how much she will let people degrade her.
