Hi, I have seen this game around for a while but Im not sure if I should give it a try. Art looks good from the images. But, I want to know: how good is the game when it comes to "incest" and "impregnation" content? Is it worth it if I want that content mainly?

tl;dr we finally hit a tipping point with support and the artist can do this full time. Now that we're in the main swing of things every other month we're adding about 3300 words and 1 animated h-scene. We're switching to monthly releases in July and should go up to about 3800 words per release and either 1 or 2 h-scenes every month. Towards the end of November 2025 that would put our script up to about 100k words with 35 animated h-scenes.

Well, of course... In the July update, will you make excuses that you got sick because of a full-time job? And in subsequent updates there will be excuses: forest fire / tsunami / tornado / new epidemic ...?!?!? You understand, people like creativity in this project, but there is no game in the project! Do not release these meaningless updates, they only spoil the interest in your "game"! Just keep working until the "game" becomes a GAME!

As far as impregnation goes it still hasn't been added just looking at the changelog. Been awhile since I actually downloaded an update (.10 or .11 I think), but it has been mostly reworks and gallery focused for even before the last version I looked at. The pregnancy content is literally just in the gallery as preview material, so like me your goanna be waiting a while longer for the good stuff it seems.

New versions get false flagged sometimes because it's an unsigned app that windows defender suddenly starts seeing running on a lot of machines. Crashes are another story though, if you can give me any info on where and how it crashed I can fix it.

I'm gonna be honest and say that the last scene with Eryn felt so out of place. Everything in the story and script shows them as siblings who care about each other and stand together against all odds. The scene before with a kiss felt very loving, not sexual. And then BAM she just sneaks in and gives her brother a handjob like they've been doing it since they were 15 or something.

I really think that the script either needs more added to give context to why they're both suddenly so pro-incest, or there needs to be a scene or two added to show the growing depths of their love for each other as it changes to passion due to their stressed circumstances. Other than that, I liked all the new content, and the story is moving forward at a good pace now. So I just highly recommend adding those changes because the scene really feels like it comes out of left field, almost as if they were hypnotized or something.

Updated my Android port of Refuge of Embers with the incest patch to v0.15b.

Got some basic gestures loaded in: swipe up for save menu, swipe down to hide UI, swipe left to rollback and swipe right to skip. Save files are now stored in the Documents folder. This sometimes means that you may need to close and re-open the port after installing so the save folder is properly created.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues with the port and I'll see what I can do to get them sorted.

FYI I made 0.15b and 0.16a in parallel, and now that I think about it I almost certainly forgot to take the reference to the new 0.16a Lena h-scene out of the gallery.

Thanks for that info! I kept replaying that path trying to figure out how to get the missing scene.

Seeing as how the purpose of a changelog is to track changes, we made the radical decision to include a list of changes in ours.

I see the point of being exhaustive, but I think it would be more player-friendly if the log was structured into a few different sections, like "new story content/scenes," "story/scene revisions," "new game features," "bug fixes," and "other tweaks."

while i agree with you that it could have been a bit more flashed out how they came to understand that they are in love even though they are twins, the game makes it clear that incest, at lest amongst nobility, is something rather normal in this world. and exspecially in the last update where added a bunch of lines that strongly suggests that it has been brewing quite a lot under the
surface between these two (exspecially in erin´s case) and they are just adult enough to do the next step.

damn man. Maybe cut them a break? I mean there is a RIDICULOUS amount of porn out there that can probably satisfy what you're wanting to accomplish. Maybe go visit one of those sites and handle yourself before making one of these comments. Shits not exactly EASY to do. Definitely agree. The time skip after seeing Lena was really odd to me. Why is there no training scenes? why do we not see anything from that time? There needed to be more interaction with Eryn before this scene. Perhaps both of them sneaking off somewhere so they can talk, before Evana let them see eachother again.

Definitely agree. The time skip after seeing Lena was really odd to me. Why is there no training scenes? why do we not see anything from that time?

Yeah we're aware of how jarring it is. A lot of scenes are getting moved around or pushed further into the story to help the flow. The Lena h-scene we did in version 0.16 flows a lot better but we still need another scene or two to build up her character. Some of it just comes down to how we're doing the romance paths update by update, and how that messes with the chronological order. For example the first scene in Aline's romance path will add some story around MC's training that happens before Eryn's scene.

The main thing though is that after the inciting incident of a story you usually have your first chance to really see what is and isn't working with the plot and pacing. This is the point where you typically need do some heavy reworking to fix everything that didn't survive pressure testing. Artist and I both think that Eryn's path in particular isn't hitting quite right so we're making some changes. The new Eryn h-scene that we're working on in version 0.17 happens before the h-scene from 0.15 along with some other tweaks.

I think things are going to stay choppy and disjointed until around version 0.20ish when all of the romance paths are started and the story starts to crystallize. Each update until then should improve it though. For now keep a save handy from before you decide who to go to the festival with to use as a launching point to see everything.

Sounds good. Hope it works out well, I really like the premise of this game and the art style and can't wait to see how it evolves.
