You can switch the scaling of the font on or off in transconfig.rpy or in the translation settings in preferences of the game.

The whole point is that the in-game settings don't work properly, they constantly reset to the defaults... and in the game it looks like this...

I set everything in transconfig.rpy.
So

SCREEN_CONFIG = False# Set to False to use the default values you set in this file.
persistent.enable_translation = True# Default: False to disable translation
..
.

persistent.font_size_adjustment_enabled = False# Default: True to enable font size adjustment

and whatever else you want to set.
It works great for me with several games.

I have the same settings... I did it differently, changed the scaling values in transconfig.rpy

1-Fix the bug text scaling not working in the translation settings in preferences of the game.
2-The default config of text scaling is set to false.


The text scaling feature is designed for languages like Tamil, where text lengths far exceed those of the original English text and may exceed the display range. For most Latin languages, this feature is not necessary.

Replace the Ren'Py code in the text that was protected with `<span translate=no>`
with the code converted to HTML tags.

This might help improve translation quality.

In the game ChasingSunsets-1.10, no translation is displayed for the following dialog:

Could you provide the false translation text and its original text stored in translation_cache.json?
I can't locate the bug from the info now.
I closed the game and deleted translation_cache.json and started the game again, but the error remained...

P.S. It's all in Russian, I don't know if you'll understand what it's talking about...

I tested the false texts,it seems that it works well in v0.25.b
And in v0.25.a, i repeated the problem.
I think v0.25.b already solved this problem.

One question: where does the translator store its cache? I unpacked the game again, deleted all my saves, and the game still started in Russian, with my settings...
Settings are stored as persistent data,you need to delete the file game/saves/persistent to delete the settings.
Translations are stored in file translation_cache.json.

I don't understand what's going on... and my font size keeps jumping around like who knows who... oh well, I can play and that's enough for me...
I doubt that you are using the false translation stored in translation_cache.json generated in v0.25.a,
Try delete it translation_cache.json then restart the game should make a difference
