I apologize if this turns out to be a stupid question. But do the troops you recruit in the country management screen have other uses apart from recruiting vanguard squads and expeditions? For example, does having a good number of soldiers make a difference in case of a war?

It's not a stupid question. Due to the poor naming choice, people sometimes make the same assumption as you, that soldiers would mean that you get increased combat forces or stength, but that is not the case.
These recruited soldiers are considered a "resource" on the overview map. They don't add combat power or any other benefit to your army, you can only "use" them for the things you mentioned.

So why higher lvl of troops like elite exist? I mean we can recruit vanguard with normal troops,heck normal troops are required for almost everyone instead of elite

You can send such troops to expeditions on the country management screen, which has a random chance to give you resources of other bonis as rewards when they return.

Update 25.01.24 changes:
- A new event with Flaire is now available. To unlock it, use the Fast Travel system in the new update at least once after the date and CG scene of Flaire's good path are done. (The new events aren't available on her bad path.)
- The new story with Flaire unlocks a match3 mini-game!
- After exiting the mini-game with a highscore bigger than 100, a new dialog with Flaire will unlock her as an option in the marriage selection screen in the church of Aldlyn.
- When the wedding is done, you can get a new dialog with Flaire in the "Preg." and then "Birth" chapters of the time skip events. These events include a new CG scene.



- After finding the locked gold storage in the Tower of Ash, using the Fast Travel system to go back to the Magicspirit in the Yin Tower will give Cookie a !-icon and a new dialog. The quest unlocks a new dialog with the spirit, which'll end with a CG scene with her.

- A background performance upgrade was integrated.
- The Christmas decoration in the castle was removed.

I uploaded a fixed version for windows, to fix issues with some graphic card issues that were caused by the performance changes. Sorry for any troubles this has caused.

Leneth.
She can be recruited when you interact with the top right icon in the tasks section of the command center screen. It requires that you advanced the events with Jackie and Lexi, that you had sex with Leneth, and that at least one small and one big harpy was captured and released at the big farm.

Just a visual error. The variable used to put the scene number to 1/1 was the variable for her challenge instead of the variable number for how far her events are advanced. I'll fix it for the next upload.

unrelated question: are there supposed to only be 2 salamander red/aggressive salamander, and if not i can't get any more to spawn

Someone please shoot me....stupid orphanage riddle on ryens side requires a name...can't lookup CG for any references and i can't remember names for shit. numbers i can memorize at first glance upwards of 30 places long but names i don't retain for shit past 5 mins....anyone know the actual name you are supposed to use for this shit riddle?
