No what happened was I just ran the translatoins through sugoi and such, and was able to repack the file. The problem that never got solved was that when I attempted to replace that file exactly as is, the game read is as a foreign object and crashed with a bunch of strange bugs. Particularly LIME is what made it crash most of the time. I never got an answer and gave up on this long time ago.

Hello friend, the problem is LIME can only read Katakana/Hiragana OR full width alphanumeric characters.
For example:
Half-width alphanumeric: abcd
Full-width alphanumeric: ａｂｃｄ
If you input half-width characters into the script for LIME messages, the game crashes.

The dialogue also does something weird depending on the number of characters. If I recall correctly, when there is an even number of characters, it's okay, but when there's an odd number of characters, the game bugs and inserts half-width katakana.
I was considering translating the second game a couple of years ago, but with these conditions, it really wasn't worth the time.

Like Amogus said, LIME is the trash part of the game when you try to translated, you probably better leaving this part alone if you want to try translation.
edit : also, saikey translation for the second part seems to be close to done, however you never know, how long you have to wait for a release ...
spacing and number of charactere per line, it's really annoying, you could probably unpack the saikey version and see how they did it.

Yeah I lost all the tools I Had long time ago so at this point, I"m just joining the crowd that will wait for someone else to do the translations. Wish all of the games eventually get translated.
