*clears throat* ... uhm, no. There is a versioning standard and not following it just makes it odd and difficult to understand where you're at. This is not a 2.0 game but a 0.2 (early alpha).The version can indicate anything, for us it led to 1.0 after fixes & updating the builds . It isn't completed and it is just the starting of it.

it started when I first met Konami while i was going through her dialogue some of the background started turning into black squares and after i went back to my room this happened

What he said is not entirely true, since Renpy is still worked on and is in the process of being updated to Python 3. As for the insecure argument I'm not sure that really falls under the scope of a basic VN. Your mileage is going to vary regardless of whether you're using python 2/3/C#(aka unity) since thats very dependent on the programmer's ability to code and the kinds of functions they use.
