HTML - Revamped Bloodline [v0.3.1 Public] [Violet Kitten]

Game seems to have WAY too big of a scope leaving it feeling very empty on actual gameplay.

It also seems to be VERY confused on what it wants to be as it mediocrely does Sandbox, Linear Story, and Visual Novel all at the same time. You'll be in a faux-sandbox setting with multiple places to go (all leading you into a single scene, usually both very short and 9 times out of 10 not sexual), that then turns into a massively unnecessarily long 5 page essay setting up of the next event (I'm not even kidding. you'll be hit with the biggest block of text I've ever seen) with very mediocrely bland dialogue, that'll then lead you into "Choose A or B".

Add onto all of this, the whole premise of vampires is practically non-existent and is hardly ever prominent other than in the very beginning with the intro in which you're seemingly threatened by them.

It's just a complete mess. While the (very rare) sex scenes are admittedly decently written, you'll hardly see any and they're all based on optional choices and not in the actual story line. Unless you painfully seek them out through the many dead ends that just turn you back onto the storyline, you'll more than likely never see any.

Good story but content and gear locked away behind a paywall gives me zero incentive to ever support this Dev, its a greedy and lazy way to cash in, instead she should rely on her skills and produce a good game that i think shes capable off . If things change i might return, until them im off.

There are no endings this is just a "Prologue" for the Patreon version.

For four years this release has been stuck on three days of events.

Stats are pointless in the "Prologue" since the perk requirements are far higher than the points you earn.

Story is forced with the illusion of choice.

Positive
- It is really interesting and promising story-based game
- Great work on NPC's
- Moving to AI art is a good step in this project
Negative:
- No free available walkthrough (hiding it by the paywall is something on the next level)
- Most content are in WIP for years
- Clothes has very little effect on narrative
- Most RPG features (traits, skills) has very little impact on game in current state, it's almost invisible, and no gradation of success (You either pass, or not), which is a big flaw for such game

Already 4 years in the making and still nearly no progress.
Instead of providing content the developer focuses on cheat protection.
The current content is so weak that it still looks like a demo or an intro.

Most of the time you try not to be treated as a whore or if you want it maybe that's the only goal in this game to become a whore.
And be aware - the download version still connects to remote sites to display images and track you.

So far, the actual story length is not too large however the arching plots you can force your character into based on your current stats at the time gives this a decent amount of replay ability. Also, the stats affecting certain actions and dialogue as well as the choice of calm or hated in the beginning of the story affecting the dialogue is also something I find quite unique. The only actual problem I have with this is that I can't find a guide to make checking all of the current possible endings less difficult. But that also makes me want to replay it even more so that's not really much of a complaint for me.

The world is interesting, it has a nice take on a medieval fantasy with some low magic elements.

Most characters are pretty bad though, the writing is close to what you would expect of a 15 years old girl, the main character being the most egregious case.

The UI is simple but functional, the text formatting and the animated dialogs are an nice innovation. Sadly this game suffers from "wall of text syndrome" where the player has few opportunities to interact with the world meaningfully.

The porn is ok. It's a bit off-tone and the dev warns players of that but there's enough for the amount of content available.

Prostitution paths seem to be available for regular players, despite what other people have written in their reviews. It's just not very much in your face.

All in all, a pretty weak game. I would give it 2.5 stars.

Good game, good story, strong lore, lots of replayability via branching paths and stat-based choices. The characters and setting are compelling, and the erotic parts are decently written. The dev clearly is passionate about the game.

Don't be fooled by the stars, people are just salty they can't use cheats.

Man this whole game is just a mess, Error over errors non-stop and it has been like this for years.

Even if you ignore the errors you will be just be punished with the worst story and characters you ever read, it just not worthy.

The game premise is about choices, different paths and outcomes. However at this current state it is really hard to see if there's any real differences in choices.
The available content last for about 2 games days which are basically the start of the game where you experience some limited implemented path. A lot of the paths are currently behind Patreon PayWall (thus not available to this F95 Version), which include all the prostitution/whoring routes.

The routes available to you have many game breaking bugs and limited in term of contents. As of 0.2.8 there's no Vampire story as you might expect from the game title. There's a vampire theme, but the character as nothing to do with it.

Art-wise, there's some beautiful pictures of a goth model. But they are few. In term of art for the sexual scenes, you have to activate them to see them, as they are deactivated by default. They are small clips of XXX videos of pornstars (unrelated to the goth model).

The main character development is at its infancy and we cannot say for now where this will go.

Game-mechanism one, it's similar to most HTML games where you have big wall of texts, and one or two actions possible at the end of the page, which links to you to another section.

In term of quality of update and content, this is a big WIP. However the game as potential to rise up with interesting choices with consequences. The different path (Hating, Compassion, Submissive) seems to really lead towards different outcomes. Time will tell.

Out of all real porn games on this site, this is the worst. Just to suck people's money dev made anti-cheat in this game but if you want to use the cheat you'll have to pay for it. So this is beyond greedy and petty if you ask me. Yet dev keeps on asking people support her on patreon without doing and adding much content at all

Interesting writing, interesting concept, but the artists go way over the visionary auteur line for me. While there's enough branching to qualify for a proper IF, the inability to navigate or manipulate in the name of narrative is infuriating, and several choices seem to collapse into a couple of routes — which is understandable for a CRPG, but not quite what's promised here.

Good for those who like to experience story (VN, KN) over manipulate systems, and have lots of patience for teenage melodrama.

One of the few games in this site that is not focus entirely focus in sex scenes i will write for the public version 0.24
The game is really good with the cosns to be plot the character developtment the story plenty words to read and plenty paths to choose many easter eggs that have good humor (IMHO) with a stunnig model that can turn me into a lesbian and of course the music.

For the cos.The game is really short with an economy that (at the moment) has no sence you gain few coins for the items that some are lost in the next day (not for the inventory but from the ventor) and althought violet kitten updates often the changes are not always noticable from the player perspective.
i believe she deserves better score and any1 that can affort support her in patreon

Love the choices and the story, keep going I can't wait to find out more about these characters and this world. The updates seem small but filled with quality, the anticipation is killing me though I just want to keep playing and playing. Vampires are so interesting.

Thoughts so far: Pretty wild.
The writing is good, albeit tropey. The color pencil style is a bit from left field, but its has a weird charm. I think I am the first to state something positive about that.
Also, pretty crass to null a playthrough if you use dev tools and then ask $10 for cheat codes. More if you want special in game items that boost your playthrough. Yikes. Is Ubisoft secretly the dev of this? Makes you worry if this game has a future with already such exploitative behavior.

Overall, if you liked Bram Stoker's Dracula: You may enjoy this gothic setting and tale as it CLEARLY inspired Violet Kitten in her writing. But like it, its lagging to get to the actual vamps. You know, the whole point many of us downloaded this for? Like Bram, I get it you want to build Lucy's character and build up to her betrayal but that and Emilia are building veeeerrrrryyyy slooooooowwww.

I have played more than once and a few different ways, there are a few bugs here and there but most of them are common issue with 'HTML' like teething problems.

First I liked the setting options that are available enough for you to customize if you want, I prefer to play without Images for Sex Scenes.

The story is a common concept you are a child of great people, but the story could go anywhere, you follow a story line but have areas which you can explore, and use your stats on, the traits don't seem to be fully implemented at the moment so can't say much about them.

Sex is in the world but who you choose to be matters if you want to see it or not, So you could go through without seeing any or seeing many.

Some people have an issue with the pay walling of the cheats which is fine, but it doesn't deter those who will want to cheat HTML's have many ways.

I gave this four because no project will be perfect, but I did enjoy my playthroughs of it and will watch it going forward and hope it does not go on [Onhold] or [Abandoned].

A very fun real choice game where decisions impact the MC's life in a meaningful way. Hours of content to discover due to the various play throughs that are required in order to see all the various options.

dnt ask patreon/supporter/cheat code for public version- that all wnt work in public version, cuz patreon code part removed.
if u want read code- just copy large part of string(inside <body> section) inside <script language=javascript>document.write(unescape( *********'))</script>, put it in "notepad++", then remove all "%" symbols (just replace "%" by nothing) and then plugin - converter - HEX->ASCII.

Not worth it.

...untill a bug and paywalls made it impossible to progress, damn I've lost hour of my life).
The game is made purely to milk patreons. Avoid. NOT FUN.

This game is boring, very bland and blaze overall. The way it is now, you can't simply play how you (the player) wants. Very constraining for a single player game. Don't waste your time until it gives the player more freedom to play however you like.
