Very much appreciated. I am new to this, and this is the exact type of encouragement I need. It's tough out there...
Just let some time pass the trolls will leave. I saw the guys who angry reactions on the thread and they are the usual suspects that i recognize. Please dont let anyone discourage you make the game you want vanilla harem sharing ntr whatever.

This kind of comment again... what you're saying isn't helpful. Are there some trolls? Probably, there always are, in every thread, and from "every side." But most people (from what I have seen) just want clarity and to know what type of game the dev wants to make and who they are making it for so that people can make informed decisions. Or to inform the dev that from their perspective there is an incongruency between what it seems the dev wants and what they are making and it surprised them. No one is trying to keep, or discourage, the dev from making what they want, just asking what the dev wants to make in the first place and for it to be made as clear as possible.

What they're saying isn't helpful? To whom, you? Because I'm actually making stuff over here, and it is encouraging.

But your point is very profound and thoughtful. If you just make the slight adjustment of the restaurant being free, and the sandwiches advertised to no one, including Muslims. Just a guy on the corner handing out pork, and folks bitching because it's not their favorite kind of pork.
I honestly have no idea what I'm doing that's upsetting so many people so horribly. I'm not trying to trick anyone, but I keep getting commented on like I am.

Please point out where I am in violation of trickery, and I will make the changes to the tags/description/etc. I'm sure you have the time.

Heya, I am 100% with you, but do not let them get to you or goad you. The issue is the mix of sharing and harem, as many harem fans think that any dick in proximity to their girls, either in the past, present or future, totally destroys the harem. They do this to any dev that includes girls with a past, potential sharing....etc.

There are, however, many games out there with harem and sharing (like in my signature...) and a lot of us fans of it. It is also my understanding that any sharing in this game will be optional (I may have misunderstood that) so really there is no point for them to get agitated but... here we are. In a pirate site, giving grief to a dev, over an optional kink, so that the game the dev wants to do accommodates their own vision instead of that of the dev....

As with any creative endeavor, produce the game you would like to play, your audience will find you. I, for one, really enjoyed your game, I enjoy harem + NTS, and know, for a fact, that there are more people like me that supports this kind of game. At this moment I can't support you in Patreon as I am between jobs and already supporting other games, but as soon as my situation improves, you have a supporter in me.

Best of luck and do not let them get to you.

Apologies for any misunderstanding here. What I meant by, "not helpful," was in the sense of advising you to be dismissive of other's ideas and opinions. As well as the accusation and implication that anyone who isn't a fan of having a harem of girls that are shared and get banged by other guys as simply a troll to be ignored. His advice amounts to "ignore everyone," which is fine if you want to do that, you are allowed to, of course. But once you make something for the use of others, once you begin to share something, anything, then others will have opinions on it, and will share those opinions. And ignoring them, "isn't helpful," because it adds to their feelings of being ignored or worse. Which in turn exacerbates the issue. And even if it is free, when you try to mix two diametrically opposed genres it still will "taste off" to people even if it is free and if people bite into expecting one thing and getting another then their reaction can be extra confused or off put. If you offer me a free ham sandwich with mayonnaise and I bite into it and it also has peanut butter on it then I'd have a reaction to it, maybe even a kneejerk reaction of getting very upset, or maybe even a fatal reaction to it if I was allergic to peanuts and then I might accuse of you trying to hurt me even though it wasn't your intention. Food and sexuality are both deeply important things, tastes are fundamental, and people have powerful response to both. There is a reason the expression goes, "The customer is always right in matters of taste." the chef can't say, "You are wrong, this tastes good," if the customer says, "This tastes bad," now the chef can respond with, "Well, that's how we make it here, I'm sorry but I guess we aren't to your tastes." Sorry if the analogy got a little muddy there, hopefully you can still follow it. Sometimes people can even have very physical negative reactions to seeing sexual depictions. I've known people who because of past trauma, if they get exposed to even fictional depictions of rape can have real panic attacks and pass out from lack of air as they start to not be able to breath as a result. I know another guy who almost vomits if a foot scene is shown. He gets, literally, sick at the sight of feet touching a penis he can't handle it.

I put the rest in a spoiler tab, feel free to read at your leisure, (y)

I hope this adds some clarity and helps to answer your question to some extent. If you'd like, I'm happy to talk more. I, only speaking for myself, hold you no ill will and do honestly wish you the best. Which is, honestly again, one of the reason I wanted to respond. I do want people to succeed and tell stories and follow their dreams. I just also think that doing that can be hard enough without other people getting in the way giving what I see as bad advice or those creators not understanding what it is they are getting into and how best to navigate the waters. I won't go into another essay about that, so best of luck and again, if you want to talk more, I'm happy to do it. You can even feel free to DM me. (y)

In my opinion, if the harem girls aren't prostitutes and you can dedicate yourself to running the strip club without having to have sex with the workers, then there's no problem. But for others, the fact that the club (or the girls in the club) exists will be a problem. And others think that is a gread addition. I don't think any of us are right; everyone likes something different, and that's fine.

On the other hand, I'm not sure that netorase or netorare exists, given that the prostitutes (or club workers) aren't going to have a romantic relationship with the MC (according to what the Dev has said).

Hey, absolutely agree. I must say I really liked the variety of LIs, I am curious to see what other designs of women we will get to see, I think the inclusion of the school and the gentleman's club is a great way to include different body types and personality types, looking forward to the next update to see where the dev goes with that, I loved the sister's models.

Yes, any potential sharing will be optional, that's a promise. And I appreciate your support.
It's an odd kind of compliment, isn't it? The attempt to wrest control of someone else's work. If it was shit, I feel like they wouldn't say anything.

I don't think anyone considers constructive criticism to be trolling. The statement that started this all was not a blanket statement saying all negative criticism is trash (at least not how I took it), but if you think all the negative comments in this thread have been helpful or productive, I would strongly disagree. There is some trolling going on here.
If you read this entire thread, you would see some honest criticism of an imperfect game. You will see way more "warnings" about not pissing off the wrong people. Attempts to steer the game this way or that. Folks bullying their way into a conversation, behaving like they are doing a public service greater than those who spend hundreds of hours actually producing this content and giving it away for free.
I've heard a lot about what offends people. You know what offends me? Bad storytelling. When I play a game for a half hour only to find it a cookie-cutter, rules-oriented practice in non-threatening crowd pleasing with no real conflict where every penis is attached to a man who is either gay or impossibly unfuckable for some other reason, I lose interest fast.
The irony is that all these black cocks (which are in the literal opening of the game, so if you're triggered and need to stop, you've wasted like two minutes) represent the villain you need to defend against, an element of real danger. I think I may have done too good of a job on that.
It's telling that you used religion in your metaphor, because that's what this is to you. It's a religion, and you're free to it. For those of us who are here for some sexy fun and a (somewhat) realistic story, I make this game.
People will have different opinions on these issues and what they like in a game. I just ask, if you are trying to be repectful, that you don't discourage fans who are addressing the dev on their own thread.

Hey, yeah, I just went through the first couple of pages and selected those I have personally played. I haven't played those two you mentioned, so thanks for the recommendation, I will check them out!
Yes, this is an impressive list of games.
It's funny how folks act like I created a genre here. I'm sitting here thinking... Have I really never seen this before..?

I think we should stop this discussion, it seems to get out of hand.

I'm just glad we have a developer who is engaged in the community and seems to have an idea and drive to make this game.

Criticism is good and can help but this is not that anymore, it's just a discussion about taste.
I really like that in this game taste seems to be a point that is looked at. I have not seen any other game that asks you if you think a character looks good or does not. This is the main selling point for me about this game and the reason I started to give him a bit of money. It gives the player much more agency of content he wants to see and makes it more personalized.

Anyhow this is just my two cents and I hope that this game will be a success.
Right on. It would be nice if people actually talked about the game, not semantics.
I just want to make an interesting experience grounded in some reality, and when I ask what I'm doing to mislead anyone, I'm not trying to be cute. I am actually asking for information.
The tags that we use are based off the definitions given by F95. If it applies to what we've done or plan to do based on the F95 description, we included the tag. Period.

Since releasing the first installment to the public (Days 1 and 2), we’ve gotten a lot of encouragement, a little trolling, and some very helpful criticism. The biggest issue with some of the fans seemed to be the effeminate look of the MC. Honestly, that was an oversight of the original release. I wasn’t even going to show his face initially, then I realized it would be far too limiting on the visuals to avoid it, and his look just didn’t get enough attention.
So now, we present Remus (or whatever you call him) with a complete overhaul of the original look. A manly makeover, if you will. I think it’s a big improvement, and I hope you agree.

This point about the gentlemen's club is absurd. "Gentlemen's Club" is literally in the game's title. The gentlemen's club will clearly be the main focus, as is suggested by the title. Why would anyone who isn't interested in a game about a gentlemen's club even bother to click on this game, nonetheless complain about it? It would be misleading for the game not to focus on the gentlemen's club. It's like me clicking on a game titled "Futas Galore", then complaining that there are futas in the game. Why would I bother clicking on the game? I would move on, understanding that the game wasn't made for me.

That's what the problem is. The developer isn't being misleading about anything. Too many people believe their opinion of what a game should be is the only opinion that exists or should matter. That's pure narcissism. It is so absurd that even one person is complaining about a game with "Gentlemen's Club" in the title being about a gentlemen's club. I don't believe the developer should appease those people at all. They should understand that the game isn't for them. There are so many other games out there. They should stop trying to ruin the game for everyone else.

I personally am interested in this game mostly because of the gentlemen's club, and I would be very disappointed if the developer were to make it an afterthought, especially considering that its title suggests that it is the main focus. There aren't a lot of games out there that fill this niche, so there is a lot of opportunity for this developer as long as he doesn't fall under the pressure to go off course.

I've seen too many games that show so much promise of being something unique and special, only to become another watered-down, generic game that already has a million clones.

Having worked at a strip club in the past, I have a lot of fantasies I want fulfilled, so seeing a game with "gentlemen's club" in the title caught my attention.

The following is for the developer:

I hope the MC can have both casual and romantic relationships with the strippers and staff, and I hope they have somewhat realistic personalities. For example, I can assure you strippers can get jealous just like any other girl, and it can cause problems in the club. Some of them are very easy, but others are not. Don't be too realistic, though. Try to find a balance between challenge and enjoyment. I also would be cool with at least some of the sisters being involved with the strip club one way or another. Considering how promiscuous Chasey is, it wouldn't make sense for her to be monogamous. For me personally, I'm all for her embracing her sexuality, but this is probably one of those things you may want to allow the player to influence.

Whatever you choose to do, don't try to make a game for everyone. That never leads to anything better than mediocre. Make the game you want to make. That's the only way you can make it the best that it can be.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go tell the devs over at "Futas Galore" to lay off the dicks already!

According to the Dev there will be two types of LIs (so to speak):

Maybe we misspoke on the "harem of escorts" line, as that doesn't really make sense. Will change it in the synopsis.
More like you're assembling a harem, and also building a stable of hoes. Mutually exclusive.
I assume the hoes will work at the club. The family and others who don't work at the club can be part of the harem, and according to what the deb said:

Yes, any potential sharing will be optional, that's a promise.
I can make the harem girls exclusive to the MC.

The only thing I'd like to know is if the MC can avoid having sex and romantic relationships with the hoes.

But on the other hand the Dev has also told us:

I'm not understanding why they have to be whores if they work in a strip club. In America, you're not even supposed to touch the girls at a Gentlemen's Club. So I don't see the distinction between that and a Maid's Cafe in terms of whoredom.
So if the hoes aren't dedicated to prostitution (which then wouldn't be hoes), and sharing is optional, then we could have a stable of non-hoes exclusive to the MC. If that's the case, then I might be interested in the gentlemen's club workers. The key to this is that we can make it so the gentlemen's club girls only have sex with the MC and no one else (which, according to the developer, should be possible).

Ha! I think my head's gonna explode trying to follow that!
Hope to clarify by stating that there will be different types of relationships with the various club workers, as there will be different workers in the club. Think of who would be employed at an American Gentlemen's Club, from wait staff to management. Any prostitution would be moonlighting, but the MC is connected to various underworld networks and industries where that may be an option. All will be avoidable (not just skippable). But any "pimping" figurative or literal, would be treated as a sacrifice in the game and would warrant a reward.
Honestly, this is my first game, and I'm still exploring these options while I build this story. I really appreciate when people weigh in productively like this. It forces me to clarify things in my head.
So, thanks to everyone who plays the game, has ideas relative to the concepts explored, and presents them thoughtfully. You're really making a difference, and we all catch more flies with honey.
