There was until version 2 or something like that.
The new quest system, although broken, guides you through pretty well.
Later updates has been single long arcs/stories not needing player intervention.
You could say the game has morphed into a visual novel of sorts.
If you start from new, please report back if/when you get stuck - curious if F has fixed the bugs

I am having an issue with the new version. I am attempting to clear the tasks on the tasks list, but im stuck on talk to Beth (Its a Chud world). I complete the scenes, but when i check the list, it is still there and when I talk to her, I replay the task. It keeps doing this. Is this the end of the content or is this a glitch that has popped up? Thank you and please keep up the great work.

There is only the eye icon that you click and it gets rid of the green background of the text, but there’s no way to get rid of the text itself
Which ver is better unity or ren'py?I played the unity ver but got stuck and can't play any futher quests.And "saving the planet earth" quest and "there's a chud world out there quest" is repeating even after I finished both of the quest.So pls someome can tell me ren'py ver of this game is also buggy or not.

The renpy version has less bugs, and while not bug free, you should be able to play every scene in the game with no issues.
"Better" is a subjective thing. While the art and dialogue is similar between the two, they are not the same game. Characters have different motivations, and dialogue is different in many instances, and there is no wandering mechanic in the renpy game. While the overall all story is similar and most scenes play out the same way, they are made for different tastes.
But if all you're looking for is a playable experience, then yes, you should be able to play the Renpy version fairly smoothly.

Renpy port is a much better experience to play.
If it's better overall is for each one to decide...
Unity original is as you say very buggy, if you search this thread Night Mirror gave some tips how to work around some of the bugs.
