I am having the same issue as others, although my game keeps crashing at the same spot. Not sure if there's something wrong with certain files.

yes, there are something wrong with the engpack. Just remove it, skip past the crash then save the game before re-apply engpack

engpack was seperated from the game back in the day. Try the full save file in OP post
