Ren'Py Rogue-like: Evolution [v1.62d] [Oni]

After seeing the current 6 characters fleshed out (I don't really count Gwenpool) I'd rather the scope of locations and choices was expanded, like telling Xavier to stuff it, storming off to sleeping on the couch at the Brotherhood Of Mutants where there'd be a few other choices and maybe one or two seduced students of Xavier reconsidering where they really want to be. Emma Frost talking about attacks in the news and Kitty feeling sad about bigotry could be contrasted by villains doing something (violent) about it. It'd make the world feel bigger than the campus, it's a bit Truman Show in scope right now.

Villains as an alternate choice would create some deeper distinctions between girls, even if much of them aren't more fleshed out than Charles Xavier or Dr. McCoy.

As it stands each stands outside a standard template in one or two ways at most. That, and the current limited number of locations, certainly are an efficient use of resources but it makes choosing anything as a player much less exciting.

Those ideas seem a lot to be about story points.

I remember when there was... only rouge and kitty? when I first knew of this game, and it was supposed to be only a mechanics demo before the story was made.

It seems to me at least that we will need to be satisfied with just adding more girls, clothes and the girls being able to switch positions.

rogue's ass, hips & thighs are pretty rad, Oni did her alot of favours by making her fairly voluptuous. Emma's new doggy pose implies she got a donk as well, Emma & Rogue pretty much both got the biggest ones.

I think all of that is a bit too ambitious. If we accept that the game right now is not much more than a date sim, the improvements that could be done would be: more locations to hang around with the girls, like a clothes shop instead of buying trhough Amazon or whatever or a field trip to go treking, an anything around the campus, too, because now there are so many girls that soon all public locations in the game will be filled with 2 girls and some would still be in their rooms.

More clothes, because most items in the shop aren't worth their price and Tinymod is a good example of cloth items that could be added.

More events with the girls to give their characters a bit more volume; stuff like Kitty buying Laura an outfit should be kinda frequent.

The best thing is that doing stuff like that every other update would take less work than drawing girls with every clothes option in every possible position.

I can see where you're coming from.

I guess what I'm hoping for is some sign of more ambition. Even an increase to the number of girls that can be front-and-center. If the Stepford Cuckoos were a popular request the convention/limit of 2 girls would have to go (even if the maximum of a threesome remained for sex interactions). Even right now there's good reason for a cast of 5 or 6 to appear onscreen together - say in the classroom. Maybe that limit of 2 is needed for performance (Renpy and Python aren't built for speed) but it really narrows the scope.

When what's added in updates is what could be added by modders the new stuff feels regrettably familiar; but when that keeps happening - repeatedly - it feels not ambitious enough IMO.

seems to be more for a mechanical point, both to make it simpler for him and to the player on threesome actions - you can give the other girl one command per "turn" currently. would need a system overhaul to make it not be confusing.

the whole call system to be able to summon a second girl is already so

there are some times when more than two girls were in the classroom when I took classes. At those points I had to choose where to sit, between two of the girls at most.

if the stepford cuckoos are added, I's suggest it be either just one at a time, basically a younger emma, being able to call two and count as a threesome, or have three but counting as one single character like Cerberus in Helltaker.

Well people including myself have been ranting & raving on Oni's patreon that HE NEEDS TO FLESH OUT WHAT IS CURRENTLY THERE. So hopefully he listens but he's pretty damned stubborn in this regard, who knows when he'll do as people request or add another dumb feature like he did with microtransactions.. I mean I suggested something last year that was pretty good for financial concerns, fit the in game world & it could be used to get points out of the girls but nah he ignored my suggestions to add something menial at best.
He really does need to expand what we currently have, it's a good go to due to good art (to wank of course) but it lacks any depth.

The microtransactions were a good idea I think, a way to get more money to buy clothes and use on dates...
But they use too much time for not much payment, and yet are limited in number for the day.

also, since we already have daily money and there is no wall that needs it save for dates and swimsuits, thus no real need to grind and it is just to get money faster, this is basically the point it is acceptable to put a minigame...

Caming studio for the girls (New location, source of money, new content where you can film a porno)
More permanent items/outfits to fit the architype of the girls. (Rogue is affection so a ring, kitty was sub so bondage gear and collar, emma was exhibition so custom piercings and a camera).
Some more story events like the halloween party, like going on an infiltration mission or just a gathering someplace new.
