I know I'm arriving after the battle but I just played 1.2 and discovered Gwen's new poses.
Seriously? Fucking seriously? I thought she was Oni's fav girl, the one he wanted to do most than any other.
First of all, the problem with her style is multiplied tenfold. It was disturbing staring at her when she stood next to anyone because of the discrepancy in art but in the new poses, she just seems from another species. Semi-realist comic and kawai manga don't mix by waving a magic wand (no matter how powerful Zero's dick is).
Second, did Oni loose his thumbs? Until now, I always defended him on one point: his art. No matter how lazy, disrespectful toward his public and a catastrophic coder he was, I always recognized he was an authentic artist and enjoyed his work. But... that? That? That's the kind of thing we used to see in the 2000's, when boys raised by manga hit puberty, learned to mess with Flash and uploaded thousands of so-called "porn games" (old folks, do you remember the meet'n'fuck games from this time?). Today, it's laughable and unacceptable from a seasoned artist.
I just can't wrap my head around how some of you can appreciate this, guys. Are you so desperate to have Gwen on the game you'll accept such a joke? Shouldn't you be the ones shouting the loudest about what happened to your fav girl?
Anyway, I hope we'll leave all that behind us as soon as we can. Unless it contains really unexpected things, I think I'll skip the 1.3 with Gwen's sex poses (I don't want to imagine what will be) and wait for the 1.4, praying Oni go through the whatever-crisis he's experimenting and come back to his usual and enjoyable art.

There's so much going on with that pic that I'm fascinated. It's like watching the Gioconda.
The 2 and a half xp points, the entire text combined with her default smile, that wrinkled thing on the left side which seems like the fusion between a door and a curtain. The random white square on the white wall, the random black line between said wall and the table, the way not a single color here has any volume and there's a single shade in the entire room... A pure masterpierce. May I ask the name of this work of art gifted by an alien race a million years older than us?
