But the dev did a good job of working sexual orientation into the conversation with the girls, so that feels more natural.

There are some distinct differences. For starters, the girls won't be embarassed and will be willing to shower with you present before you romance them, they will also question your sexuality if you make moves on them to make sure that you were in fact, flirting with them, the sex scenes play out as normal, but without semen obviously so there's no eating option during the cleanup phase, there's a strap on as an alternative as well, and they call you gender-specific titles like Momma instead of Daddy and Ma'am instead of Sir and so on.

She does have some pretty good ones individually, Innocence lost, target X, her 2010 to 2012 X-23 run, deadly regenesis and a good chunk of all-new wolverine.
Then shes also been in the new X-men (2004) and X-force, and the main team pretty regularly before the mainline X-men comics turned to utter shit.

You poor fool, Krakoa is the worst X-men has ever been, its the point where even the die-hard fans completely abandoned the comic and only the rainbow mafia and people that wanted to suffer with how much they were gonna character assessinate the characters were reading it.
idont care about others, fans wll complain abut anything anwyay, i liked krakoa at first with the island and every1 coming together still b4 it got too complicated and stupid wth everything else. all dat rainbow mafia blah blah i ignore,, its never useful

You're not getting the same gameplay by playing as a girl.
You're getting objectively worse gameplay by playing as a girl.
It's not the same..
I like the fact it's not the same, much like rl one has a much easier time of things.

FemZero has an easier time seeing them naked, but has a harder time getting anywhere with them because none of the girls are lesbians from the get go.
