He's an artist first, yet he gives the bare minimum even in that department now. Atrocious poses, lack of clothing in poses that should be there. Can't even be assed to provide attention to detail and make sure things look good. Something most artists would consider to be their top priority. He's bad at code, but he's intentionally bad at the one thing everyone knows he's good at.

I'll refund you your change, I funded this game and after watching how bad it's gotten up to now I'll say whatever I want about the dev, because Oni deserves only that. If you don't like what I have to say then that's a you problem.

The "piracy board" argument tends to hold little water when you consider that many developers tend to release free versions of their game, usually after the latest release. But more than that, quite a few developers don't mind that people bring their games onto forums like this, usually because its free advertising and a place to get quick feedback about the game. If someone chooses to support the developer because they found the developer's game on here, that's great. If developers didn't like it, they'd contact the admins and have the games removed.

Fair is fair. Thing is, there are just a few people here who pay in Patreon, while everyone else, me included, drop no blings whatsoever. Plus, (I'm taking the fact that you didn't list any game as being broadly better than RLE as a sign that there might not be that many), the fact that Oni can deliver one of the best porn games of it's genre while severely underperforming means he's at least secured that, and doesn't need to do any extra. Which is a bit sad, almost dishonest, perhaps, but the result is that, at the end of the day, this game, as easy as it seems to be to make, is still one of a kind and very good.
I mean, criticizing this game can't be without outright criticizing the whole porn game industry, don't you think?

I think a lot of people get upset with Oni not only because he milks this game for all its worth (I agree with the point above that what has done in six years some other developers could get done in a year and a half), but that they see the unrealized potential of the game that at this rate will never come to pass. That does not invalidate the point that this is one of the very best porn games out there. In fact, that just illustrates the point. It *is* one of the best games to fire up and get your spank on. Oni actually has a lot of very good ideas, and his art style is well liked. But he does lack quite a lot in effort and execution.

Point being that both camps are right. Oni is stubborn and lazy, but the game is still good.

Jesus, what an awful take. The game looked promising at first, someone funded it and then realized they were being milked. Now they are upset at both how they wasted the money and how the game wasted its potential due to greed and laziness.

I'd suggest to visit the expansion mod thread but instead asking around there, fetch the discord link for that mod, hop on and start asking around. You could visit the Prime mod thread too for the coding part but for the textures modding, you should try your luck on the expansion mod discord.

Again deflection. Needless even, if you agree Oni underdelivers and that his game is lackluster then you're not making any argument against what I have already said. You bringing up what you consider to be "the best" despite the facts of Oni's work ethic, conduct, and the fact that he's earning over $92000 a year with the game objectively not making any substantial progress and only continues to get worse because he continues to half ass even more makes that statement mean less than nothing.

It's not the best of anything. Aside from being a money sink.

I'm not trying to refute what you say. I'm just telling you that the developer being a lazy cow wanker has nothing to do with the game's quality relative to other games. Again: games with good 2D art, multiple girls, dress-up mechanic, sandbox style and even role-playing options are so scarce that, from the top of my head, I can only think of this one.
The fact that most other porn games are glorified VNs, cheap 3D, totally linear or outright non appealing to trainer-like fans, remains.
I mean, you even went as far as to fund the game, only to become dissapointed with it's stagnant nature, so you have to agree with me in that it's really good, but the developer just keeps on doing the absolutely bare minimum to keep the greens flowing. It's like saying Star Wars is bad because the recent movies are shit, with no regard for the old ones that are still there.
All of this issues being so blatantly obvious, I've always wondered why there aren't more games inspired by this one, but with a different theme, like League of Legends or Final Fantasy.
By the way, the poses are more of a taste issue, but I like all them save for Jean's sex pose, which is weird as fuck.
