I always found it funny how once she got out of the lab, she little by little got more femenine as the years passed.

Basically heres the thing, Laura started her life as a cartoon character in X-men evolution, she showed up in 3 chapters and kids really liked her so there were talks to port her into the comics.

When they eventually did, they handed her off to Joe Quesada with a new line of comics he was working off called Nyx, wich was basically focused on teenage girls.

What did this absolute edgelord do?

Turn her into a child prostitute.

This of course appaled her original creator for X-men evolution,so eventually he managed to get his hands on Laura again and re-wrote her origin story to fit more Laura as he wrote her for Evolution, thats where we got X-23: innocence lost and its sequel X-23: target X from wich does away with all the edge wank Quesada had and gives an actually in-character explanation why Laura acts the way she does and dresses the way she does and was pretty fucking cool.

Problem is, nowadays, Marvel cant decide if they keep her origin from innocence lost/target X or from NYX, oddly enough Logan has been the best adaptation of her initial origins, and thats shoking given it is a hollywood movie.

I don't know if this is the place to engage in this conversation, but isn't Joe Quesada the guy that ruined Parker's character and subsequently his story and lore?

Admittedly I rarely read comics but from what I've observed from far away the comic book industry has been killing itself off and losing every avenue to manga due to bad stories and characterizations. Spiderman does not exist post McFarlane to me, and I only know Laura from Logan, this game and Null. I would much prefer a Logan origin story than a child prostitute story.

On another note, I cannot fathom why someone would write about child prostitution and what that could give to readers. Sex is a form of losing innocence yes, but there are better ways of showcasing it. Lord of the Flies is an example that comes to my mind that would be excellent for teenagers and its themes of violence, control and loss seem to fit so much better.

I had written more but deleted. Sorry for rambling, sometimes there are such good conversation topics on this forum.

Yup, precisely the same guy behind one more day.

He wanted to make edgy comics, but because hes an ass, instead of making his own characters, he takes someone else's.

That entire debacle made no sense, Laura was raised in a lab as an experiment and elite assassin to try and make a new Wolverine, yes, but she was never stupid.

Theres no way she wouldnt be crafty enough to find a life after escaping the lab that didnt involve all the bullshit she went through according to Nyx, so Quesada entirely pulled that out of his ass to be an edgelord, hence why the other authors retconned it.

Its been a hot minute for me, but how do you get storm's mohawk as an option
After you take an afternoon class she teaches she has you stay to talk afterwards and if you don't cut her off you see a picture on the desk with the other haircut. After that you can change her hairdo in the wardrobe menu.

Does all this information help us understand Laura's sexual preferences?
