Hah, I've been hovering between 6'2'' and 3'' my entire adult life (depending on how much I hunch), and AM not just big-boned, but know about the effect of microfractures from own experience. Lots of running on flat surfaces as a teen, then a bunch of different martial arts. HEMA was the most punishing, padding or not. There's only so much force you can pull back in sparring with trainers without messing your entire technique.
I was "use abdomen as a washboard" lean in my younger years, and was still pushing into "overweight" cuttoff for US way of measuring those things. Didn't even realize it varied globally, makes sense though even before US decided to pretend we don't have a massive healthcare problem from weight issues.
