Its been a while since I played, so I wanted to ask about something I was always confused about. When you get to a high level on one of the three bars (slut, submission, and love), you have the option to change your relationship. Does it matter in which order you do these and can they be mixed and matched? If I want a submissive slut who DOESN'T love me, is that workable and can it be changed afterwards?

The shift personality feature becomes available on any stat from 900 on, but you can only transfer points from stats above 900 on to somewhere else, so it's not useful to keep the Love stat low.
Let's say you treat the girls like shit right from start, then it will become somewhat more difficult to access many options as they often require LOI approval checks.
Something like breast fondling already requires LOI950+ while anal requires LOI1550, so you have to work quite a lot for your Obe and Inh stat to improve, as Love is usually much faster increased.
Definitely aim for I500 for the sexfriend petname-event as it can slightly help to approve for many sexual actions if they aren't in your harem yet.
Lust values above 75 also usually make sex action requirements slightly easier, same as shifting from an easier to a more demanding sex action.
Addiction values of 75+ also make them more obedient to anything but they rather nag the player to death meanwhile until they reach that high value.
"Sir" event requires O500 while "Master" O850 (Jean:O800) what should be your goal for a true slavemaster.
Commanding them to come or stay requires O600 what is also important.
Wardrobe becomes accessible from either LOI900, L600 or O300 on.
Clothing scheduling "...what you wear around" in the wardrobe menu requires LO1000 what is problematic, but the Outfit Management should still work to let them run round in their birthday suit from LOI1200 on, first rather only in private rooms, later in public but it's really difficult to calculate the exact requirement with the taboo modifiers. Asking for such changes are best done if they are in their own rooms.
After fooling around four times in public and getting spotted each time, the girls should receive the "exhibitionist" trait which should make wearing less to nothing much more easier in public.
The sexy flirts should rather be preferred than the sweet ones as there are more O and I points rewarded than L ones. They are very useful to demolish the Love stat if the girls aren't ready for such groping yet. Obviously, never ever say "Sorry" as it will always reduce O points.
Fooling around in public is also a good way to increase anything but Love, especially if the girls aren't ready for such actions. Having fun in the showers with a lot of spectators is also a good O-point income source.
Dates rather earn Love than other points, so not that useful. Better save the money for the Shades and Avengers magazines.
The girls give away their phone numbers from either L400 or I200 on (Emma: LI800 or OI500).
Emma's public and threesome talk requires like LOI2000 or I800 to solve, so that could also take a long while.
Rogue's player-name change requires either L600 or I300,
Jean's player-name change requires LO700 thus also tricky, so she rather calls oneself "Sir" first.
Kitty's annoying "like" can be get rid of from LOI900 on.
Permission to fap requires either LO1200 or O600 that is useful to let them beg for it for additional points to gain, especially if you keep denying it.
When levelling, you might prefer increasing your own addictiveness, so you can more often extort the girls.
Keep in mind not too piss off too much any girl in a row, so they won't run away all the time. Better switch focus to another girl after "mistreating" the last one.

The original looks too brownish blonde similar like Gwen's icon.
Unzip and drop the images folder with content into the game's game folder.
Can be added/removed anytime without savegame ruination.

That means you don't have to worry about wasting love points after hitting this L500 barrier when making gifts and earning first-time bonus points rewards.
After Jean gets to O500/700/900, this storage will be drained progressively faster with an noticeable Love increase per day.
The Love limit of 500 is gone after reaching O700 and she is able to gain Love normally again.
After Jean's "lover" event when hitting L800 and O600, she will additional receive L+10 per day.
