I'm just guessing, but I think that Oni started with a pretty good idea on how the game should be... and the idea has run its course. He'd need more ideas to develop it further, but perhaps he hit some creative wall, and the only way he sees himself working on the game is adding more of the same old content. More girls, more positions, but the core is still the same.
So I went to talk to wheels and now he's out for a stroll roll.

yeah, it eventually resolved itself on it's own after a week of two (if i remember correctly)
