ill be honest. i havnt played any other version but primes last one. is it worth it to play oni's current?
Are you all why he came to the cheat thread asking for help on an out of memory issue? How do you expect a modder of a game to fix an out of memory issue with a computer? That's like asking a fashion designer to fix the fact you don't have clean clothes to wear.

Sorry, bud, but I'm no turbo nerd (c) FacelessVixen so I can only help you with the info I found (you might want to try searching f95's threads and plebbit for this stuff yourself btw, perhaps you'll be more successful).
The other thing you could try is using a different version of Ren'Py. No idea how this works or what you need to do, but I'm just trying to help by pointing you in the right direction, hopefully.
Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but once again, that's the info I have found. And as far as I know, no one with the "out of memory" problem in RLE thread had been helped.

1. That's not true. There are cases in which a part of the RAM is damaged and the computer can still boot, especially with 32GB RAM as in your case. A memory (RAM) check would give you information about that.
2. It could also be your hard disk that has defective sectors and therefore cannot load files properly (CrystalDiskInfo can show you this with one click), as I said there are many possibilities.

So don't immediately call for fix and say it's not on my end but instead look for possibilities yourself.TLDR: Try redownload the game it has just ~300 MB (got mine from pixeldrain and is working fine).

Reiterating this. A badly seated ram stick or completely fried ram stick can prevent a computer from booting (has to do with circuitry and power. I'm not an EE major so I can't go into fine detail. But basically, the computer knows the signals coming back doesn't make sense so it yells at you and doesn't boot). But sectors of a ram stick can be damaged and still boot. I've personally had, in addition to hearing stories about people, adding new ram sticks and coming up with odd number for total ram.
An OS reporting out of memory is usually just ram. Bad sectors on the hard drive will usually lead to disk io read/write errors.
But really, the easiest this for this person to do is to just check his own ram usage. Rather than have us guessing the near infinite possibilities that can cause this, he just need to check what his ram usage is like and see what's going on. For all we know, he could be bitcoin mining or running an AI model or running a dozen bots on his machine while running this game. It takes very little to just look at what your computer is doing rather than asking for strangers on the internet for a possible quick fix to a problem that doesn't exist and waiting a day or two for a response.
With that said, on Oni's patreon, there have been some reports of out of memory errors. But, according to Oni himself, every time he asks for more info to troubleshoot, they never reply.
The first rule to asking for free tech support on the internet is provide details upfront. Don't just got "I've got a problem" and provide nothing else. You wouldn't walk up to a mechanic and go "Car's busted" then walk away. You wouldn't call a plumber and go "Pipe's clogged" and walk away. Don't think the tech people on the internet will react any differently. If you're too lazy to do that, than you're also too lazy to get help. Simple as that.

Oh well, you're right but dude just wrote a sentence so what to answer? Also you made me dig deeper into this. The game is made with renpy V6. 99.13 ancient version and diggin deeper into the forums there, it may be a renpy issue with nvidia graphics drivers especially if you run two different nvidia graphic cards. That said, maybe he could force the game to run with intigrated graphic chip instead but as said before, too less information of his specs in all.

You can find some compromising material on Wheels and some extra cash if you get lucky. Same goes for visiting his room with Storm.

And it will be getting more and more buggy with every release and every new girl added... All thanks to many year old spaghetti code that puts Yandere Simulator's code into shame.
At this point I think Dev should not even bother with trying to fix all that but instead re-make the entire game from scratch...

More characters. Some content that isn't available in Prime (althought also it's lacks some content that is). Some animation differ (and sometimes silly funny). Game still can't handle interactions with more than two girls in one room.
If you aren't afraid to get some weird bugs then sure it's worth it.
And I don't believe Oni build will ever be in stable condition without outside help.
Poor Prime, reading Oni's vodoo spagetti coding almost broke him unrepairable much more effective than any decepticon.
It's really like necronomicon.
That should have been fixed in v1.62e.
If you still play with v1.62d then this key bug is found in every other *_Scenes.rpy file too. Just search for "currrent" like before.

I can only hope someone can pass these bugs on to the dev as it's tedious to fix all this oneself on each update again and again.

Agree that Oni should just remake the entire game from scratch, but also as much as I agree that this game is so buggy cause of the shitty spaghetti coding. Yandere Simulator is like a league of its own when it comes to shitty coding, and also when it comes to shitty developers.

. I can make my own custom scenes or edit spelling and grammar, but nothing too sophisticated.
