This is very poor writing with very few images. I do not believe English is the author's first language, and the images are entirely unrelated to the theme of the 'story' being told here.

The protagonist is deeply unpleasant in an uninteresting way. It's an "It's everyone else's fault I'm an asshole" asshole, and that kind of boring narcissist makes it impossible to enjoy other characters through their perspective.

Roman Alchemist [v0.4] delivers an exciting gaming experience, although its content is limited. It impresses players with a captivating storyline, an inventive concept, and exceptional character actors. The narrative, while deep and engaging, leaves players yearning for more due to its brevity, earning it a rating of 4/5. The game's unique concept hints at future innovations, even though it's not fully realized in this version, also scoring 4/5. The character actor choices are outstanding, receiving a perfect 5/5 rating. However, the game falls short in terms of content, offering only a handful of missions, which rates at 3/5. In conclusion, Roman Alchemist provides an intriguing and gratifying experience for those who appreciate storytelling and innovation. Its future success hinges on the dev expanding the game's content and gameplay.

Roman Alchemist is a management game in which you play as a time traveling nobody sent back to the time of the second triumvirate.

I'm an absolute sucker for Greco-Roman stuff, so this game should be a layup for me. Unfortunately, it fails in just about every metric you care to name. The characters have no personality. Mind control drugs literally appear from nowhere and suddenly they're the whole game. The real porn consists of a bunch of modern clothing and precisely one toga. The emperor aspirant drops the MC with his mother and sister and suddenly they're the MC's mother and sister. The game is a messy blob of contradictions and poorly explored mechanics and concepts.

It's just soulless. This game desperately wants to be a different game that it's already mentioned and is just trying to remake the wheel. I didn't find a single scene worth seeing over an hour or two of needless grinding. Don't waste your time here.

    Review of 0.1.

I have to admire the balls to the wall dedication to this ridiculous premise that the dev manages to pull off. The game is basically "The Company" set in ancient Rome, complete with hypno potions and family/work routine. Being hired as an alchemist by Emperor Octavius is one of the more creative and full-of-potential scenarios I have come across.

    Some minuses:
    - Being unable to customize MC avatar (game hints at possible future gender choices?)
    - Main font is slightly hard to read.
    - The first (and only, so far) quest you are given is on a time limit, and it took me a game over or two to figure out what to do. It's counterintuitive to be given a nominally free-roam sandbox to explore, but also a quest that basically requires you to dedicate all your available time before the deadline to the same grindy "gather materials" task.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
