Hi!
I already read a couple pages of this "Roomgirl" thread and know that the game has it´s flaws. still, I want to try it out since it has, going by the samples, the best looking 3D characters of the Illusion games.
But I have some questions. Why do we need to extract it twice? How limited is the Studio mode? Thanks in advance, before doing anything.:)

What pack of the game you download? I don't think STN version has double compression, unless you download a repack of a repack from somewhere...
I don't dwell in Studio long enough to find all of its feature but I think it has all the basic feature you need to pose the girl.

Hi and thanks!
I have the 2.1 Repack, but the 1.4 here on the first page has the install instruction of decompress twice. So better asking first, before doing bad. :) Illusion games are notorious for their finicky running, case in point I have AIS on Steam and let me tell you, installing any kind of update/mod is both easy on first look, but can also break the game just as easily.

In that case just follow the procedures, no worry because it's trusted.

I don't have AI Shoujo game on Steam, but with anything mod related, you should be aware of the version requirement of the mod. If the mode required certain version of the software that doesn't match your version then it will certainly crash/glitch. If you want a worry free experience just download STN repack and install it separately somewhere in your drive. Test all the mods you want there before applying it to your main steam game. Be aware though there's maybe also incompatibility between mods that created to work in Japanese version, but may not work in Steam version.

Also you have to be aware that any Japanese game updates (obtained from STN or others) will never be compatible with your Steam version because the file structure isn't the same, so you're stuck with your current Steam game version. If you want to try the Japanese version of the games then you have to install the JP version separately. Trying to mix the files will only result in crash/glitch.

Yes true, still even the skulls and bones Steam patch was not completely hiccup-free. But it was just a single mod to be kicked out (seems it did not like my general setup), so no problem, the SB runs.

What a let down! The 2.1 repack did not open, stating a major error.:( 15 Gig downloaded for nothing.
Edit: corrupted download. Stll had to regain all of it. And I just have to headshake again. RG has the best 3D looks right out of the box compared to HS/AIS (and without tons of mods), but only few clothing mods and the gameplay (which is nearly irrelevant for me, I want it for the Studio) became better only after some patches and DLC. Facepalm!
This could have been a worthy successor to Honey Select and Ai Shouju.

I wish there was a way or a game where HS2 can be played like Roomgirl, HS2 graphics and characters, customizations, modifications with RG game type
