Yeah, there is "work" in this game. The "work" is about playing an idle animation that doesn't interact with any character, and doesn't affect your money at all! Seriously, this game is so bad... is headache inducing.
In SBPR no matter how barebone and essential there was an actual management of your hotel that gave you more money the more guests you would have, and would unlock new rooms and activities.

I think the idea is a clutch method to move characters. Instead of moving them as is, make a duplicate with different clothes and different "professions". So you'll have "same" character that can be assigned to a different location. It is a weird way do things, if I deciphered the message correctly.
