Usefull application for fast and simple decrypting RPG Maker MV and RPG Maker MZ files:
  • RPG Maker MV
    • .rpgmvp
    • .rpgmvo
    • .rpgmvm
  • RPG Maker MZ
    • .png_
    • .ogg_
    • .m4a_

Usage Guide:
  1. Go to

  2. Find latest release.
  3. Download file
    • If you use linux you should download - RPG-MV-MZ-Decrypter-X.X.X-linux
    • If you use windows you should download - RPG-MV-MZ-Decrypter-X.X.X-win.exe
    • If you use mac you should download - RPG-MV-MZ-Decrypter-X.X.X-macos
  4. Move tool in to the folder with game.
  5. Run tool.
  6. Choose mode (png - decrypt png only, all - decrypt all files but this also required system.json and encryption key)
  7. Wait a bit.
  8. Find folder decrypted
    All decrypted files would be storage in to this folder.

Thanks for this, great IO compared to other decrypters (really appreciate outputting the decrypted files to a new directory rather than replacing the file!)

has of today VirusTotal showing 3 virus warning plus window defender show it as well even it doesn't show up on VirusTotal

Great news! Now application support all file types (png, ogg, m4a) for decrypting.

Use version with ALL prefix for decrypt all files.
That version also required System.json file and key inside.

Use version with PNG prefix for decrypting only images files.

be careful using this I am not sure this is the cause of my memory issue

I have used this today and my memory was stuck at 40%

I am not 100% sure if it was this but this was the last program that I have used when I was only using 12% usage

If file(s) too large, app can consume a lot of memory. How I remember, this app read full file.
Anyway, this application will work's fine for ~99% of users.

No critical fixes, so if you don't require this function, then you could use 0.8.7 as well
