Very true. With MV you can only use a save editor.Personal opinion is RPG VX Ace > RPG MV
Oh why you ask because older ones are easier to hack
so much this. i also prefer more linear than 'free' roam too.My issue is that we look at the OP and see all these porn images and get tricked into thinking that that is what we are going to get when in fact 98% of the game play is running around a map trying to figure out what to do without any help or clues hoping that someone will post a walkthrough.
It is also frustrating to know that not all RPGM games are RPG's and without a picture in chibi mode in the OP you may end up downloading the game expecting one thing only to find that it is something else...
if that is your outlook on life dont play rpgm coz you wont get it all nowYou must be registered to see the links,
Just an alley creeper, light on his feet
A young fighter screaming, with no time for doubt
With the pain and anger can't see a way out
"It isn't much I'm asking," I heard him say

[Chorus: Queen]
You must be registered to see the links
[Verse 2: Freddie Mercury]
Listen all you people, come gather round
I got to get me a game plan, got to shake you to the ground
Just give me what I know is mine
People do you hear me? Just give me the sign
It isn't much I'm asking, if you want the truth
Here's to the future for the dreams of youth
[Chorus: Queen]

I would add Vis Major: Awakening and College Life to the exceptions. Each of these have enhanced save functions where you can save the game during a choice. My main issue with RPGM games is simply that if you forget to save like ALL THE TIME, suddenly you have a choice to make and if you make the wrong one or just want to save to explore either option, you're fucked. While College Life is more sandbox, Vis Major is rather linear, which can be a problem. I was a huge fan of Gates: The Opening until after one update I could not for the life of me figure out where I was or what I was supposed to do next after loading an old save after a new update. I literally had to play the game from the beginning because it's so linear, and I gave it up, unfortunately.I agree with your choice of exceptions, and I would add Peasant's Quest as well.
Yeah that's really annoying. You also get that problem with a lot of games made with Unity. My main issue with RPGM games is simply that if you forget to save like ALL THE TIME, suddenly you have a choice to make and if you make the wrong one or just want to save to explore either option, you're fucked.
