Oh! Small menus....... interesting.
I've been beavering away at some GUI changes by making the UI a bit more "scroll" like:

me likes! just the light blue text box colour doesn't really fit with the rest (also appears a bit large), but i guess that's not the final version..?

Oooookaaaaay.
I think, THINK, that that's fixed the menus.
And we've got a new UI designed and coloured to look like the "Scrolls" from the show
It's not perfect, but it's usable for now.
That'll make it seem smaller and add extra connection to Ruby's feelings.
On the subject of sprites I'm excited to say Darkkitsu has already sent me the initial sketches for the first of them and I'm excited to see the end result!
Of course the speed of the roll-out of art is, in part, a money thing.
So everyone if you're enjoying this please consider joining the Patreon etc.
Ugh. That made me feel like an influencer or some such. But every penny not taken by tax (and some of my own money) is going on the art, so I feel a little less ick.
This butt isn't art, it's slop, but it's spankable slop and here it is for those who've been playing.

Found it!
When I tested I checked to see if old saves, and items in the load menu, were aligning properly but didn't patch up the dimensions of the thumbnails taken BY the saves to account for the new menu layout.

New Art!
Not NSFW stuff, but a good indicator of what else Darkkitsu has in store for us in future
For now neutral Ruby's talking head has been replaced with a full sprite!
One emote down, 18 to go!
As these roll out I'm going to move the talking heads down into the dialogue Bar too.
But for now here she is!
DK's really captured Ruby's "vibe" and I can't wait to add more.
Also I've done a little tweaking around the edges as I work out how the CNC will work its way into the game's flow, built some background stats and triggers etc.
At this point it's less coding and more looking at process flow-charts for interactions and deciding how the CnC content should interrupt our daily interactions with Ruby.
Thrilling stuff for you lot I'm sure .
Oh and I fixed an image source bug too.

So it turns out there are 39 places I need to add new code and scenes to, ranging from adjustments to flow and stats, through a whole load of new dialogue scenes, all the way to 2 whole new sets of hotdogging variations.
So today's highly exciting work was finding an annotating them all so I don't miss any during the implementation of the new pathway.
But I'm bored of structural stuff now, so next week I'm going to add one of the two CNC scenes instead.
This will be accessible with no consequences etc. because it won't be plumbed into anything, but I need to write some more smut soon or I'll explode.

Well, what with one thing and another I'm only partially into adding the forced hotdogging scene.
I'm trying to get a decent flow between a Ruby who's straight up scared of you, and one who tries to fight back.
Then once her attitude is set, approaching the CNC with either a blackmail power-assertive vibe or a violent rayona-y take.
Add to the mix the possibility that you've turned Ruby into such a goon-squaddie that she's playful about it, and different dialogues for first and repeated scenes, and it's quite a complexly branching tree.
Still some progress has been made and I feel confident that I can plug out more and have at least a taste of what the CNC pathway will be like dropped in the next week or so
In the meanwhile have some boobies!

then there's this possibility, too.. that she's going to be all out curious over stuff, since MC gave her a 'peek preview' with the Glynda spanking, and Ruby noticing her horniness. teenage girls are indeed curious. right?

That tone's actually already in the game
. If you're coercive or dominant with Ruby she'll potentially respond positively to it, depending on her level of horniness and growing interest in masochism, with that kind of nervous curiousity.These are the much more forceful pathways. Holding the future of Team RWBY over her head so she cannot refuse, or just beating her until she can't fight back.
On the subject of which, while it's not a great deal of content I'm dropping a non-update update with the two tone-setting dialogues today.
Partly because you've all been waiting patiently, and partly because while I was testing their integration into the existing code I uncovered a but that was triggering the Level Up skits in the gym early and fixed it.

Sadism in the game is currently split into 4 categories.
1: training
You can hurt Ruby (slaps, punches, strapped palms, wedgies, and caned ass) as part of her training sequences.
2: reward / punishment
You can currently punish Ruby with 3 degrees of severity, focussed on spanking (hand and tool) in a stress position and tied over a desk.
Ruby can develop masochistic tendancies, and be rewarded with escalting levels of pain and abuse which range from a light spanking to severe treatment.
3: sexual
You can currently hotdog Ruby, this can be done with the intent to hurt her, and on a more badly bruised backside for increasing levels of pain.
You will also (currenrly in development) be able to go down a CNC roleplay path with Ruby, which will allow you to be violent with her; mixing beatings (including slapping and punching at this point) or blackmail with sex acts.
4: aftercare
While most of Ruby's aftercare options are positive reinforcement or neutral, you can also be intentionally cruel to her (forcing her to strip and re-dress in an ice cold shower in the gym, or do lines while painfully wedgied in the classroom).
Currently the most cruel thing you do is probably the pre-cnc beating, but she'll willingly ask for more violent things than that if you develop her masochism enough.
Get her horny, and masochistic, enough and you can shove a thumb covered in electric shock (or agonising burning sensation causing) gel up her butt, turn her into a complee pain goon and she'll orgasm so hard her brain basically turns off while you do it.

One thing about the solo dev process with limited work time is you squeeze what in when you can.
The other is that testing is a slow and easy to mess up process.
Like today, had an hour before work and went on a bughunt.
Found and fixed a load of non-gamebreaking issues, mostly with text formatting or some calls for misspelled image files.
All but one of which must have been introduced in previous updates.
Ruby doesn't approve of my lax standards.

No, there are also ROBY, ROYY, ROBE and other AI crap.
This.. needs a lot of work, an overhaul of UI, better text (fonts / visibility) better indications of trust/submission.
It needs an artist with an art, I guess current pictures are a placeholder. The game has virtually no content to play.
As an alpha concept preview it is promising,it might become a good game. There is a bdsm/corruption/training with a student in academy practicing martial arts.
If you get successful with a game you might even add new girls to training. Overall, the concept itself is good, some of the dialogues are good as well (the shower one, etc). But yeah needs a ton of work, and decent art instead of AI slop.
P.s. I liked ruby more with black or red drawn hair which looks to be a public art, then the blue haired ones.
