I can't, I just can't. It's so boring.
It has so much filler it just drags on with barely any witch stuff mentioned, it's all school life made worse by the typical Japanese awkward as fuck MC.
It just dawned on me how emotionally stunted and socially restricted they are in Japan. If this type of MC is so common it must have stemmed from somewhere and people must click with it.
The stuff they do as young adults is what we did when we were kids. Holding hands gets them riled up, that was common here for me and people I know before we started high school at 11.
Indirect kisses have never been a thing and just sounds incredibly immature no matter how you spin it, I wish I never had to read those words but they keep ending up in these VN's and it makes me cringe every time.
I think that's why I don't like these MC's at all. I just can't "connect" with them on any level at all. Regardless of differing genders, I can still sort of see where some male MC's are coming from but I can't do that at all with MC's like this. I've never been awkward and the shit they panic over like holding hands and kissing i've done since my first kiss chase at 7 years old (it's a group of girls and boys, the girls run, the boys chase and have to kiss who they catch ... silly looking back ... always wished I was faster, could never get away with my incredibly short legs .... on a side note my grandma told me standing in mud would make me taller like her sunflowers .... she lied .... and I got yelled at for getting my feet muddy and dragging it through the house).
Errrrrrrm.... yeah.... awkward MC's are bad, wish they would do something new like a not awkward MC in a romance novel.
"Hi, I really like you".
I like you too.
"Be my girlfriend".
Okay.
*insert mosaic censored sex scene here and and after story that shows them 10 years later with 2 kids. He's wearing a string vest swearing at football on TV and she's downing anti depressants looking after 2 screaming kids ... theres your drama.
Fast forward another 5 years and he's lost his job collecting employment support allowance and she's filing for divorce. All of a sudden he gets the job of his dreams and whisks his wife away on holiday and sends the kids to boarding school. Happy that they no longer have 2 screaming demon children to deal with they realise they sre still in love and fuck on the beach getting sand in places they didn't even know existed and feeling uncomfortable all the way back to the hotel.
And they all lived happily ever after except for random arguments over who's doing the dishes and picking the mother in law up.
They also had a dog called Bruno.
And tropical fish.
I was gonna say a cat too but Bruno hates cats.
Just an edit to add that I saved Megaru's route for last because people told me it was enjoyable, I think they did it on purpose to piss me off. Nene's route was okay but a bit overboard on silly drama stuff after the initial drama payoff. Shiiba's route is probably my favourite, Akagi is awesome. Touko's probably my second fave route, I cried near the end, couldn't help it. Wakana's route wasn't too bad.
Soo, you see my incredibly long rants about awkward MC, especially the guy in this one, he's terrible. Well, imagine a route with an awkward MC and an equally awkward girl and you have 20 minutes of the most painful conversations i've ever read to the point where I had to take a break and watch Youtube videos of Darksydephil because watching an actual awkward as fuck nimrod made the pain here seem lessened.
I'll tell you what makes this MC worse than any other, he can feel other peoples emotions. He knows when they lie, tell the truth and how they feel because actual magic he got from his mother (like a shit Harry Potter) yet he's still the most clueless fucknugget on the planet. He knows exactly how someone is feeling yet still flops around like a jellyfish wondering if he's feeling it right.

This patch updates the game to v1.23:
- Fixed a small bug that sometimes caused the game to crash
- Fixed an issue with the CG Gallery where some CGs wouldn't show up
- A small number of typos have been fixed
No memory leak after applying this patch, at least for me.

Lol! Saved me the trouble of checking this out. Wonder if there's any fantasy theme vns with a cool,mature mcs instead of vns with either donkan, hetare highschool kids (who should belongs to ntr vns instead) or hedonistic pervert that always act like dog in heat and chasing women's butt around ( Rance the rapist for example ).

It's worth a read but the MC can be frustrating at times. I will admit I do prefer an MC that isn't completely clueless which is why I love the "Do Love Me Seriously" series and Princess Evangile (although the MC is clueless about relationships he isn't hopeless about it and he's great at everything else).
I have my issues with Nene's route in this game but I am glad I read it and it does get really good in places. That is my biggest problem with it though and what frustrated me the most, some parts of it are really good but then the writers make the MC do something dumb so you get an amazing section and then a "what were they thinking" section.

But I have to say, it's a bit unfait to compare this to Majikoi, the whole setting is different, and Majikoi isn't at all a moege. However, yeah, the MC in Princess Evangile was more than your typical MC. You want to punch him sometimes, but he pulls his shit together when it matters.

His background might sound interesting but he act like a wimp most of the time, getting pushed around by those crazy man hating feminazi except for his harem members. He forgives and forgets literally everything like a robot. The head mistress or whatever her position was called is clearly insane and dangerous but nobody care and she get away scot-free even after committing serious crimes. I just can't take it anymore after chapter 9 then reading some spoiler
