who was the original owner of that silver ring?

With the after story released last year, it seems to be connected to Xafina, Sable's cousin, who seems like a likely candidate in triggering his awakening as a mage. I would assume SG2 or Project Homunculus would possibly delve into her character deeper albeit on different routes
