Thanks for the heads up. Here is a breakfix that removes an invalid condition when trying to leave the building. I didn't catch it because I had already finished the mission I copied the code from and so the leave condition was already satisfied.

That building becomes relevant in certain specific conditions:
  1. You have completed the initial phase of the Den of Thieves quest, where Sadie intervened and attacked members of the Royal Thorns.
  2. You have received a series of quests to take down each gang in the Slums from the Diplomatic Quarters.
  3. You have spoken with the Gutter Rats contact in the Hostel (next to the Adventurers' Guild). The maid will tell you about the Mission in the Slums, and then there will be a mission you can continue.
From there, you can talk to the gentleman at the front desk and pick up a quest.

That was a good update.

I'm a little irritated, these ice spells our little Fox has seem to be rather useless, the water spells are doing some damage, so that's fine. Did we just not get the right opponents for that other stuff?

The difficulty feels a little inconsistent, while the killteam and the thugs you need to defeat to get Foxi were rather unpleasent, many other opponent are more or less pushovers.

I also don't quite get, Sadie needs some people to get intimate with, since that's part of her now, so why do I never meet anyone she could hook up with?

Thanks for your thoughts.

As of right now, Karin's Water I = Ice II, Wave I = Blizzard II in terms of expected damage, not factoring in skill level. But there are some enemies who are ice-resistant, like the MCM Enforcers you face to gain Karin's support. There are also some enemies that are weak against ice, like most of the demonic creatures you fight in the Isekai Order missions. That said, I'll take it as a todo item as part of the 0.3.0 combat rebuild to balance Karin's magic out a bit. I've noticed in my own playthroughs that I'm spamming Wave I most of the time, so I agree that the ice-based spells need some rebalancing to make them more useful.

Over the next couple of releases, I'll try to do a little bit of tweaking for play balance. The MCM Enforcers are supposed to be very difficult if you pick up Karin as soon as possible (something I do recommend) because they are supposed to represent some of the most dangerous people you can find on the streets of Svetlanda. By contrast, many of the mooks that you fight are going to be weak compared to Sadie's party of murder hoboes. These mooks are somewhere around Level 10-12, whereas the Enforcers are closer to Level 14 or so. And as the Den of Thieves continues, there will be some stronger foes mixed in with the mooks.

As far as Sadie and intimacy go, she is still very picky. Plot-wise, she hasn't met the right man. Or when she has, he's taken, gay, or not interested--I'm milking that joke as long as I can in Act II before I have to give it up in Act III.

I'll tag when and how Sadie's sex life will change in spoilers for people who don't want to know.

Also, releases 0.2.5 and 0.2.6 will have the potential for up to three different sex scenes with members of Sadie's extended harem traveling party. They'll push the edge a little bit in anticipation of what's to come.

What are the three new scenes? The Dinestra one, one that only appears if you don't have Neemar, and what's the last one?

Also holy shit, this second stealth mission was 1000x the difficulty of the rest of the game, is it meant to be like this?

The third one is Ellanon daydreaming with Sadie in the kunoichi outfit.

That second stealth mission is more challenging due to the guards moving randomly. Some quick advice and notes I'd give to anyone stuck on it:
1. The guards only move 90 degrees at a time, so strike when they're facing directly opposite. That way, even if they move once, you don't get busted.
2. The guards can see 4 squares away. You have to keep track of that yourself--sadly, that's what the plugin I needed to remove did well, but it caused too many problems for people.
3. There's fairly little guard overlap, so you can typically focus down one at a time without the risk of someone else catching you.

That said, I'm always open to thoughts from people. If the stealth sequence is way too difficult, please let me know and I can scale it down and keep it in mind for future stealth sequences.

Oh wait, you get to kill them in that mission as well? That would make it easier...
It's an option, though the rewards are slightly worse and you make poor RL Henderson (and probably Son) sad in the process. But if you do pick the overt killing option, yeah, it's a extremely easy series of fights.

There was a stealth mission earlier where you got to choose between methods, here I believe there was no option to fight, unless I clicked past it. But I think you're saying that you can stealth kill them (like in the previous mission if you chose not to fight), whereas I for some reason assumed I had to perfectly dodge them both on the way in and back out.

Ah! Yes, there are two stealth sessions and only one of the two has a fight option, so I may have misunderstood which mission you meant.

The whodunnit mission, Recover Stolen Goods, has the option of fight or sneak. By contrast, stealing the war plans from Lord Trablebun's estate is sneak-only. That mission is sneak-only but I hard-coded what each guard is doing, so you can observe the consistent patterns. Recover Stolen Goods, meanwhile, has agents moving 90 degrees left or right at random.

The guy at the table in particular didn't seem consistent to me; at one point he looked straight down for probably a minute or more, and sometimes I could walk past him (on the bottom-most row) while other times he'd spot me. Maybe I broke it by failing too many times

I'm enjoying the humor a lot, didn't take the goblin guy along for fear of forced dick, and have found that combat solo seems far easier than combat now that I've picked up the barbarian. My TP doesn't charge nearly fast enough anymore, and the warehouse fights are super slow, due to their high defenses.

I.e. I can only really hurt them with psiblasts or charming the toughest one in the room, and that takes quite a while to charge up now that I have someone else around to soak up my hits.

It's a weird mechanical problem, but it's there.

Thanks for the feedback. I've only done game balancing with Neemar (the goblin) in the party, and he has a skill that reduces defense + magic defense for enemies, so playing without him is definitely more of a challenge. I am going to rebalance skills and enemy difficulty in 0.3.0 but in the meantime, here are a few tips that might help:

  • Sadie's Cheerlead skill, which she gets at Level 16, does increase attack + defense for each party member.
  • Sadie will gain access to Succubus Form, which hits her with an attack + defense debuff but doubles her TP recovery. This makes it much easier to get back up to 100 TP by the end of a fight. In 0.2.4, which will be available to the general public in 3 weeks, this is a free action instead of taking up a full turn.
  • After completing 6 or so quests in Svetlanda, you'll get the opportunity to pick up a magic-using character, Karin. She starts off underleveled but is definitely worth leveling up.
  • The easiest skill to build up quickly for Dinestra is Double Attack. Focus on that and it will get to a high enough level that she's consistently doing good damage against almost any character.

Neat. I just noped out with the glass of cum scene, unfortunately, something about forced sex with men just twicks me out.

I'll revisit this though, when I'm in a better mood, the game itself is pretty cool. :)

How can I leave the warehouse in the quest Recover Stolen Goods? I try to through the same way i came in, but nothing happens!
And I've reinstalled the game, but it didn't work.
Also.. Is there another way into the sewers in the entertainment district? I sided with the strikers before i got the rat killing quest, so I can't gen in from there.

I'm attaching a fix for the warehouse bug and will include it in 0.2.4. The short version is that I messed up on the leaving condition, such that you need to have completed the Protect a VIP quest to be able to leave. The attached zip file contains one JSON file that you can extract into SadieGetsALife\data\ and it will replace Map080.json. That should allow you to leave the warehouse without concern for the other mission. I didn't catch it because I had already completed the other mission first.

As for the strikers, I think there might have been a precedent thing because of another goof-up on my part, where you shouldn't be able to side with the strikers prior to receiving the Clear Sewer Rats mission. Any chance you could attach a savefile? I'll confirm, fix the problem, and then fix your save so that you can continue.

Thanks for the bug reports.
