That castle fight was not doable for me solo. They do too much damage per turn (80-150 damage with a max of around 700 health) for the limited resources available, and their Hp is at a point where you need a minimum of 3 attacks to take down a single enemy. With 4 enemies in a single encounter it just didn't seem possible. That is on top of there being 5 or so mandatory battles back to back with no way of healing in between with the exception of your limited mana and a single mana pot.

where to find children
There are five of them in total. Two are outside on the left side of the map, a cat girl and a fairy girl. Inside the Inn, there is a boy. Inside the bar, there is a girl. And Inside the Succubus Tenement, there is a boy.

Solo is definitely going to be a much tougher challenge, as I'm balancing with the assumption of a full party (which, at that point, means taking Neemar into your party). I do appreciate the feedback, however, and will keep it in mind as I continue to do adjustments to try to hit the sweet spot on difficulty.

Palace was doable solo, so that's not to big a deal.

I have to say, for a solo project in particular, but generally speaking, this is a really good game, all the dialogue with the NPC shows an eye for details and overall the world created is pretty charming

I have released a small set of bugfixes that I'm labeling version 0.2.0a. Here is a quick rundown of the fixes:
  • The fellow in the Adventurers' District searching for beans that look like the Leader won't trap Sadie against a wall anymore and forcing the player to restart.
  • Fixed an error in Act I's Guild Hall if you decline an offer from Shelley.
  • Dinestra hates contractions even more than before. She might let one slip every once in a while, but she'll feel like a failure afterwards.
  • I finally learned how to spell "berserk" correctly.
  • Same goes for "sergeant."
  • Sadie could potentially scale certain bits of wall in the Smuggling Ring warehouse. She's angry, but not "climb the walls" angry.
If you avoid the top two issues, this is not a mandatory patch and I give you full permission to roll your eyes at my consistent misspellings of two specific words (and my woeful under-usage of "bread-bread-bread" in scene descriptions). All of the bugfixes will be rolled into next month's release and changelog.

To apply this patch, unzip and copy the several JSON files into the SadieGetsALife\data\ folder. This will replace JSON files already in there.

Any hints pn where to "Get more information on operation Fireball" ?
If you've talked to Amerinth and received the wake-up gift of a knife on the nightstand, Sadie can go about her business in town and will be able to learn what to do next. Specific action in the spoiler.

What does Drain Vitality do, exactly? Also, for skills in general, if it says "0:50" does that mean level 0, 50% progression towards level 1?

Drain Vitality drains MP from a foe and gives it to Sadie. Not all foes have MP, especially bandits and thugs.

You are exactly right in your description of skill levels.

That's an Easter egg that I added in. It's not actually accessible and wouldn't make sense thematically, but I enjoyed hiding it in there and it might come into play in a far future release.

That Textile District will open up in the next release (roughly two weeks from now) and you'll be able to finish that quest as well as a fair bit more. For future releases, I'll make sure there's a message indicating the end of current development.

In the current version, I didn't find any exhibition. In fact, she must be the prudest of succubi.

She's certainly more of a voyeur than an exhibitionist at this point in the story. But there are two exhibitionist scenes (or at least one quasi-exhibitionist and one outright). Put in spoiler tags to protect the innocent.

Clearly I've missed a scene (or more), then. I don't suppose you have a list?
Acts in spoiler tags because it's very spoilery. As a quick note, this only counts acts of volition--the scene with Ellanon in the tent doesn't count because you, as player, have no control over it. And apparently the scene with Zelastrus and Ellanon doesn't count because I forgot to tag it. I might go back and do that, unless I think up some plot-relevant reason not to.
