Stop interrupting gameplay every fing 5 seconds with tutorial popups. Spread them out, making them clickable so they can be ignored until a player cares, or find some other solution.

It is incredibly annoying and a rookie mistake.

What an utterly weird response. It's not your business whether or not I read them, they are there to help players who need help and the last thing you want to do is annoy them into definitely skipping them out of frustration so they can actually play for 5 seconds without an interruption.

Like, instead of being nippy, maybe think about the feedback a bit. It's crazy that you tell me I'm now free to do what I want and that the tutorial is over only to then move forward, get a pop up, try to take a picture of the monsters, get a pop up, move again after you ruined my shot, get a pop up about the wardrobe I can't even use, lmao.

Like, trust your player's intelligence and wait until the player actually interacts with these items or put them on long timers just to make sure they haven't missed them after hours of gameplay.

You can always put all tutorials on single menu for players to reference at once if you're so weirdly afraid of them not reading them. Having actually read all of them, your game isn't nearly as complex as you think and I probably could have intuited 90% of the pop-ups just from playing.

Go play Pokemon Snap or Palworld and compare how often they interrupt gameplay to tell you things you don't need to know then.

I don't "just like getting right into the action," and it has nothing to do with the porn. Pacing matters in all games, and this is a problem in SFW games too and is a classic mistake a lot of indie devs make. I also wasn't being literal about it being ever 5 seconds, and you know it. They are just paced really badly and tell you a lot of things that aren't important at the moment, or things you can't even use yet.

My suggestion was simply to lay back on the bombardment of tutorial boxes. The dev doesn't need to explain every inch of the game immediately (or at all in some cases) and aside from that the game is actually pretty decent and has come a long way from the jank original release, but whatever, keep hand-waving my feedback with inane excuses. I don't mind if you don't care, but don't arbitrarily pretend I'm just trying to rush to porn or I'm illiterate.

It's been a very long time since I've played a SFW or porn game that interrrupts gameplay this often to over-explain things this badly, and I've played a ton. It practically begs you to just start skipping them, so if that's what the dev's complaint was about, no wonder no one reads them lmao.

And I'm not alone in this, I barely looked at reviews before already finding one with similar issues:

This game shows some potential but I never got to play any of it due to the horrific intro/start set up. Unskippable 8 minute recordings of 2 men talking. Hundreds of phone calls/pop ups/announcements of the next tutorial item to run towards.

Holy shit this game would be better with zero tutorial, zero pop ups, and zero unskippable recordings and just let the player play the game.

I'm not trying to be mean, I actually like the progress the game has made so far especially since the first release, so christ I hope the dev at least thinks about it a little. They already highlighted how little they care, though, so I guess I know all I need to know now.
