set your view distance to "epic", it will be a temp fix for the issue. We have it fixed in a future patch.

Lol at anonkittens review. If you don't have the patience for a game to set up the who's and why's you won't have the patience to interact with the systems designed to reward patience.
For anyone who hasn't played the game yet, the introduction is skippable, the audio logs (while not skippable in the current stolen build) are skippable in the next patch. And nothing is stopping the player from playing the game during the audio logs play time.
I worry about anyone who is melting down after the briefest of establishing content in any game. Bloody hell.

game feels like a grind sometimes, also from the trailer some stuff are missing. I remember seeing a blue animal like water beast. looked like a cat however so far every female is human like.

For what it's worth I think the audio added quite a bit to the game itself. The logs are generally funny or good world building.
i cant think of a single log that i didnt like.
on another note i had a question about the scoring system since i had a super good photo recently. is the grading system penalty based or some sort of point accumulation system? ive had a bunch of kind of mediocre s+ photos now, and then one that i thought was going to reveal there was a s++ tier or something. are s+ photos actually 100%ish photo quality or are they like 100 points or more and higher named tiers just dont exist yet... or was my photo not as good as i thought and there is a higher tier out there already

Glad you like the logs.
Scoring is based on what bones are visible (game rig). And perfect photos add a 40% multiplier to the base score. If you do not have a pp tagged photo you won't score over a B.
There is some malfunctions in the scoring that we are looking into at the moment. But we don't have a lot of time to dive too deeply with the demo release deadline in a few weeks.
