Follow instructions in OP properly.
It looks like you didn't extract the decryption tool in your game folder nor decrypted your game.
There is a Troubleshooting section in OP with common problem users may face.
And please avoid posting multiple times in a row regarding the same subject, it's much better to just edit the first post.
I believe it is the Node.JS you have to download and run first. Then after that you can successfully decrypt. For me I had to wait a long time to wait for the decryption. Just let it run and make yourself some coffee. Then come back and everything should be good.
I had the same error and that is how I fixed it. Good luck!

Here is just for translation files.
I'll work on that version when it's distributed on this forum or when someone send me the files, however if the later I will not redistribute it here.
I don't think you get this enough, but thank you for the service, the older busts were infinitely better than the current ones and thanks to you we get them back. So thank you for that
it seems like the latest version of this has an issue with the naming of the Iconset.png file, where when placing an item on the shelf in the store that gip gives you, it looks for a file named Iconset.png but can't find it as it doesn't exist. steps to recreate are as follows:
it is probably worth noting that i'm playing this on linux using the nwjs workaround, as opposed to running it natively on windows. not sure if this is an issue there, but probably worth fixing
- unlock the store by completing the main story
- enter the store
- attempt to place any item on the shelf
- be met with the error "failed to find img/system/Iconset.png

Not related to this mod.
The only instance where game stores any info regarding it is in
www\data\precachelist.json.You can just delete that file and game will recreate it next time you open. This will also fix similar texture errors.
Why so convoluted? Also, the downloads say it's 0.8. but the post say the it has downloads for 0.9

So I followed the instructions and downloaded what I assume is the Patch (The one called Butler), but Flora is called a Caretaker. I assume she's supposed to be the mom? I did decrypt the game and extracted the patch in the right folder. This doesn't seem to work.

Download the zip from github. And the L2D from gofile if you is going to use the full version.
But yeah, I've overcomplicate a few things.
I'll also include .rar files for both version in the release page on github next time.
I am having a similar problem to a user from over a year ago, with the model sliding down instead of up on the "contacts" screen. I have the L2D and Full patch both installed, I downloaded them today. This issue does not happen with Flora. I wasn't able to find the quickfix you had talked about in the op.
The Patch barely helps at all... It shows her as Mother and her Daughter as Sister but when talking / thinking, hes saying Caretaker and daughter of Caretaker instead of Mother / Mom and Sister

I dont think thats true because Ive tried clean extract without the patch and in the introduction screen, Flora is shown as Caretaker but in the Patch version is shown as Mother. The issue with the Patch version is that only in the Introduction screen is the mother and sister shown as such but while talking to them or thinking about them, MC is saying Caretaker and Daughter of Caretaker. I believe that there is an issue with the Patch (L2D Files) where something is missing and it doesnt actually changing the text. Instead it keeps it the same as the original

Well you just said what's wrong, you just downloaded the L2D files when you need to use it together with the full version from github.
L2D(Live 2D) files are just textures. everything text related is in github.

New game version released here on F95, going to updated the patch tomorrow.
