It is very weird, especially the interaction with the book, which is something basic among the basics.
If you are playing a patched game, I suggest deleting everything and trying to download the full game.

i didnt say this randomly, its just there someone say they can click on the obstacle and then the character say "it block, i must find another way"

this looks like the pc bug that still frequently happens, where if u spam click when waking up and then leave it bugs out the UI, this can be usually solved by going on the PC in ur room and then exiting it. hope u saved recently

i also got stuck at the same quest i deleted the game and started the game from start it wont go so i got frustrated and deleted this game
