2 weeks ago he asked some suggestions on where to look for EN Voice Actors on discord, that's probably another workload.
I also assume he's redoing some scenes and story writings in regards to his recent patreon post.
but to think we might get a EN Voice for the Female Lead Character of the game really gets me excited since it fits on the era and story of the game. But I also think that we might get to choose a Jap Version Voice.

For me, it depends on the EN VA. If the game was built with english in mind it naturally would sound good, like Subverse.
Lust Voyage was probably still made JP first, that said it does seem to fit that old english/medieval aesthetic so it shouldn't be too bad/jarring

100% agree. My native language is Spanish but I wouldn't want to hear any of that in Spanish either. I've also noticed that for whatever reason, EN voice actors and general scripting tends to have a slightly comedic bent for this kind of thing whereas the JP are able to actually take things seriously. IMO this goes a long way toward making things less retarded.

I feel like such a weeb saying this; but Japanese seiyuus are in general objectively the best voice actors in the world on-average. Mostly for the simple reason that they are unlike the majority of the globe, well, actually professionally trained and schooled for voice acting (sometimes even for years on out), it's like an actual major and not something that just any randos pick up. I heard that auditions are also extremely competitive that even masters like Yuki Kaji said that he does't get selected for 90% of the roles he tries for...

Absolutely, but it's even more than that as you alluded to.
There have been bigtime seiyuus that have taken parts in H-productions and I don't mean one or two semi-obscure guys. In Japan voice acting is very competitive industry and taken very seriously. I've talked to native JP in some comment sections and gotten slightly mixed responses but some of them say that a lot of Japanese view animation + voice acting as a more serious enterprise than live-action productions. The total opposite of people 'overseas'. Anyway, I agree with you.

I'm not from the U.S. but I have a pretty good guess as to why U.S./'western' dubbing is garbage these days. It's due to the ultra-corrupt unions that do not allow talented voice actors to thrive while at the same time rewarding crappy ones. If you recall, in the 80s & especially the 90s there was an up and coming dubbing industry that never seemed to get off of the ground. That's the reason or at least part of it.
